1. Thanks Stoney. Yes describes this one perfectly and good point re weight. Neck is a joy to play. Very lightweight bass but doesn't feel fragile - no more aching backs or shoulders with this little beauty

3. Cheers Julius. I remember taking it in to our local music shop years ago where they had a guest Rotosound engineer / session player dude in for the day. He had a tinker on the basses people brought in (to have new rotosounds put on them). When he played my bass maniac he clearly hadn't seen one of these before and seemed to be quite taken with it. It always got compliments when I gigged with it - sound and looks :-)
4. Thanks deepbass5. Don't tell me to keep it though! Taken me long enough to find the heart to do this - now I'm doubting my decision already and it's only been 2 hours! I'll let fate decide for now...
5. Here I have my quite rare Tune Technology 'Bass Maniac' 4 string active bass. PRICE REDUCTION TO £250. (Ignore the weird pattern on the front of the body - caused by the ceiling lamp reflecting on it). I've owned this from new, purchased from the Bass Centre in London early 90's. Played it for 3-4 years in my old metal band with a full Marshall bass stack (good ol' days) and it then became my back up bass, barely playing it for the last 15 years. Japanese made and possibly the easiest bass I've ever played. Fast, narrow neck and nice action. Plenty of punch, warmth and depth. Particularly good for rock although play off the front PUPs only and you get quite a mellow bass. This youtube video link will give you a feel for the beautiful tone: https://www.youtube....h?v=a3SgjBqfjmI (stick with it – changes riff around 0.40 and again around 1.00 - shame about the fret buzz) Spec (got this from the internet – seems about right): Body: Alder Neck: Rosewood Neck width at nut: 39 mm / 1.535 in Weight: approx 3.3 kg / 7.28 lb Scale: 860 mm / 34 in Controls: 1 Master volume, 1 Pickup balancer, 1 Bass tone control, 1 treble tone control Condition is excellent considering it's age. Little bit of buckle rash on the back as shown in the pics. Due to the high gloss finish lot of very light hairline scratches on the back barely noticeable unless you catch the light. Struggled to capture them in any photos. Bass works perfectly and has no faults. More pics can be seen here: http://bit.ly/1O3dVkh You will get a lovely and quite unique bass for the money and I'll certainly be very sad to see her go. No trades - trying to reduce my collection. I would prefer cash on collection. Would be willing to meet you within a 30-mile radius of Swindon if you cover my fuel. I will consider shipping within the UK (only UK) but really would prefer you come and see it. Any questions give me a shout. Thanks, Glen
6. Just purchased Brett's (aka Basssection) ME-50B and very smooth transaction. Pedal was exactly as described (fantastic condition). Thanks Brett - have a free bump from me and good luck selling the rest of your kit
7. One last weekend bump before I resort to ebay. Please don't make me...
8. Seriously she's lovely - beautiful warm sound - just surplus to requirement - type bump!
9. A working from home and should be working and not on basschat (!) bump.

14. Notice Absolute Music and Guitar Village are still selling these (currently at £1099, although I'm sure Guitar Village was advertising it at £999 yesterday and literally gone up £100 in the last 24 hours!). Appreciate this topic is over a year old but considering one of these right now, as I regretted selling my 20yr old musicman (which incidentally had a 3 band EQ). Can anyone advise me - do the 3 band EQ and 2 band EQ stingrays sound the same and quite simpy the 3 band EQ just gives you more flexibility over adjusting the sound, or do they actually different sounding basses? Also to be sure, do they feel the same or are there any differences in weight, quality of workmanship etc. Guessing they sound the same and are built the same aside from the EQ electronics but any advice from experience of both of these appreciated. Lastly, a minor point but looking at the Ernie Ball website (http://www.music-man.com/instruments/basses/classic-stingray-4.html) I can't see any mention of a 3EQ classic stingray - suggests they don't make them anymore which seems highly unlikely.
15. Lovely grain on the body. Beautiful bass. Good luck with the sale Paul - someone will get a bargain!
