  1. On reflection, I think if you contact Thomann, rather than sending a new adaptor, they'd probably send you one of these -> https://thmn.to/thoprod/350932?partner_id=31190 Which isn't ideal, but it wouldn't be as wobbly as a shaver adaptor
  2. Have a Nice Day — Killing Joke
  3. I'd get a Boss BC-1X Bass Comp and a Boss BB-1X Bass Driver — which are coincidentally the latest additions to my pedalboard.
  4. I don’t think there has ever been a plastic cover for that style of pickup — I’ve certainly never seen one, they’ve always had the bobbin exposed.
  5. I thought about it but came to the conclusion that I don't think it's necessary as the only wires under the pickguard are where I've already shielded.
  6. Ned Zeppelin: Robert Plank Jimmy Pave John Bonkam John Paul Jokes
  7. I like to think if Gustav Klimpt was a bass player he would probably have enjoyed shielding his basses.
  8. I've just completed shielding (and testing) my black JMJ, so I just have one more blue JMJ and possibly the white CIJ mustang to do.
  9. The rules of this thread are simple - replace one letter for another in a band or musician/singer's name for comedic effect. Anyone found adding or removing letters instead of replacing or changing more than one letter run the risk of being at the wrong end of a Paddington Bear Hard Stare. I'll start: Gladys Knight and the Pigs
  10. Bye Bye Baby — Mary Wells
  11. Mirror in the Bathroom — The Beat
  12. Probably worth about £20 on a good day with the wind behind it. — then only for someone who needs a sacrificial bass-shaped-object to smash up on stage.
  13. When I repainted a 1972 musicmaster bass body (that a previous owner had stripped) many years ago I figured it would be a good idea to fix the huge neck pocket gap before spraying. I nicked a wooden spatula from the kitchen and cut a piece out of that and glued it in. It came out a lot better than it probably deserved to have. The missus never did find out what happened to her spatula.
  14. I did the gig last night with the newly shielded JMJ & it behaved immaculately. I still have plenty of the anti-slug tape left on the roll so I will do the shielding on other two JMJs over the next week. I already did the shielding on my competition Orange Classic Vibe mustang, but I don't think I ever did it on the vintage white CIJ — my first mustang, so I'll probably do that one as well.
  15. I keep all of mine at home when I have a gig.
  16. Southbound — The Allman Brothers Band
