As it happens, it took quite a bit longer to deliver than expected, so I (of course) got carried away in the meantime and now this is surplus to requirements! So a unique opportunity to grab a brand new bass at a great price and without waiting time... This is the standard version of Scott's offering, passive (volume, tone, pickup switch), manufactured in China. Lovely all around, the bass has plenty of punch and definition. If I were to keep it, I'd try to string it piccolo or tenor, it looks like it will be fab - but it is very good with standard tuning too. The 'Alembicized' body shape forces you to try your Stanley Clarke riffs immediately! It is very light too, but feels adequately substantial due to the thicker body shape. The neck is pretty great, very easy to navigate. These go at 600+ Euro new including the fitted hard case, I'll let it go for 485 Euro (or 370 gbp) shipping included. All MINT, obviously. Grab it while you can! Bumping

Not difficult to get a variety of sounds, but it may be to find a particular sound you have in mind. For example, the basic neck and bridge (and both) sounds, super-bright or super-deep are dead easy (just use balance and tone, which is super-effective). The nuances in the mids is where the variety is immense (not only filters per pickup and boosts, but you can also select the push/pull boosted freq for low-mid and hi-mid through switches in the rear cavity, the amount of boost, etc). It's like having a POD in the bass! That said, the bass plays so well that I am seriously considering to keep it!

Hi Got this recently in a trade, my third ACG. Must confess that this is the easiest 5-string I have ever played, your fingers just fly over the gorgeous fretboard. But I still find the (fully loaded) filter pre too versatile: there are so many sounds possible, that I keep on changing them, which keeps me from playing, if that makes any sense! Otherwise, it is a MINT, beautiful bass (even better in the flesh), extremely well balanced, with a wonderful neck and a 'springy' B string - quality. The preamp is amazing: one filter per pickup and treble (all 3 are concentric boost/cut and freq, all with push/pull for mid/treble boosts), passive tone, volume, pan. Serial nr is 0123.
