Ah! So all i need to do is buy two Valve Drives and a Compressor.. and steal Georg's hands -
Anyone got any knowledge?

Well I'm really loving Sigur Ros at the moment.
Anyone know a pedal that would get me close to the tone at 2:50? (Hearing it in person is the greatest thing ever)

Not sure on what his pedal board is so any help is appreciated, but my guesses go on some sort of Valve Overdrive
Thanks,

Yeah, I was there last night - thankfully the weather held out!
I thought his tone was great when he swapped to his Jag. It might have been the set-up or perhaps just the stack nearest to us, but the earlier bass wasn't quite right - I'm assuming it was cutting out, or just not cutting through.
Still, a great show - and what a unique setting

That low gain growl in a few of their songs was brilliant -

Tried to get tickets for this when it was announced and failed miserably

I could be mistaken thinking this was an 80s bass, but the Yamaha BB series screams 80s to me as my dad swore by them and never played anything else around that time period,

[sub]The VMJ fretless body has no cutouts, you could graft that to a VMJ fretted neck.[/sub]

That's a good idea, which i was going with until the realisation that i couldn't find a VMJ fretless body anywhere.
3TSB + No Pickguard + Maple Fretted Neck

I'm currently awaiting a tort plate from TBD:
Can't say I'm a fan of it without really.

I was hoping for a skinnier route
Thats a shame, thanks though

Hey guys,
Anyone got pictures of what the neck pickup route is like under a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz?
I like the look of them but id be taking the pickguard off it
Preferably a Natural or 3TSB
Thanks,
Sam -

I had an EB0 with a Push - Pull and DiMarzio Model One in it, it was my first proper bass.
Sold it a few months ago after realising I look silly with a shortscale as I'm 6ft 4".. heartbreaking, seeing as i would love to own a 74' EB3 -
sh*te, singer forgot lyrics, guitarist cables kept cutting out. Played to what looked liked 6 people. Me and the drummer were spot on though

Is it one turn every 24 hours?

Sounds like you need more relief in the neck. This means you need to slacken off the truss rod. Carefully.

Tiny turn in which direction, neepheid? -
I grew up around blues as my dad was in a 7? (I think) piece blues band complete with a Horn Section called Doctor Doctor, they played around Liverpool..,he played Bass and sang for them
Like father, like son.. Least for the Bass part! -
Thanks! Anyone else got any guidance on this?

Hey Guys,
Ever since i got my Thunderbird in December its buzzed from the 1st to 5th fret, the action is perfect, but the bridge and bridge pickup are pretty high
It never really used to bother me but after playing my friends Tokai i envy the non-buzz on his lower frets
Any details on how to rectify this?
I'm new to the whole set up thing,
Thanks,
Sam -
I have a new one! 5:31
