£160 is a bargain for one. the neck dive is an issue though, you get used to it though.

It seems to be bolt on. (Bolt On IV's have the input jack on the face of the body, by the Tone & Volume pots)

I think I'm gonna opt for a Rumble 40.

The new Rumble 40 seems a viable option but the lack of FX loop & being only 5 watts more, would it be loud enough?

I was also looking into the BA series for its Compactness, it weighs in at around 31lbs & is rather cheap at £170

Anyone got one? & more specifically (being only 35 watts) can you use it for on-stage monitoring when DI'd?

The FX loop feature seems interesting, I could bypass the on board pre-amp & use my VT Bass.

Hi guys,

Recently my Thunderbird has started going out of tune rather frequently, every few songs or so. Not massively, just slightly flat.

I had it set up & new strings put on it in August, so is it new string time or something more serious like new tuners? If it's the latter, i'm looking at Hipshot Ultralites.
