Get the pacemaker plugin for winamp. Ive used it to transcribe a few songs. You can slow speed without altering pitch. Its also great for turning slow rock into speed metal

I shall look into it :D

On initial viewing, I thought that the 4 lipstick tube pickups had been replaced with a mud bucker and the Modulo badge on the body had been removed to make rom for a thumb-rest, but having seen it again, it might be stock.

They seem discontinued :( gutted, they look amazing!

Probably quite a bit over budget @ £169, but http://www.andertons...=GoogleShopping

You'll probably find (like i did) that once you have recorded a bass track, you'll want to do some vocals, then maybe someone on guitar etc etc............. and this is a damn good bit of kit for the money.
Have used it at a couple of venues to get live recordings of the entire band and it's done the job well.
Chuck it all through Sonarx1 to mix and master and you get a decent demo cd.
Also good for those nights when you want to practice while sitting on the sofa with the headphones on while wifey is watching TOWIE or some crap.

So much choice! :( I do like the looks of that though.

My son has one of these - fantastic pre in this, great sound and no discernable latency. Miles ahead of the Avid stuff imho.....

I've seen very good reviews about focus rite gear.

The UX2's aren't a bad bit of kit but unless you are going to use the Podfarm functionality then it's probably a little bit over priced for what it is IMHO

I may go with your suggestion then, Charic. I'm still open to suggestions though.

A very useful trick if you wanna use an amp but dont want to piss off your neighbours with endless takes is to record direct and then 're-amp' the signal once you get a good take.

Interesting, Thanks for the help guys! :D

And plug your guitar into the amp? Yes.
That's usually the best way to go about it if you want to keep the tone you like getting with your regular amp.

Brilliant!, I'm looking at a UX2.. I've found one for £70

For sub £100 I don't think you could get a much better deal than this : http://www.dv247.com...-studio--104397
