1.
Bought these a month or two ago for a project that never happened! Both in mint condition, never used by myself.

Looking to get back what I paid which was £30 posted for the pair of them.

If you want them separate then PM me and we'll sort something!

    Thanks
Hi, I would be interested in the control plate, are all the holes in it the same size as the jack hole? ie all the same size? if so I'll take it.

    Cheers

    Chris

  2. Hi all,

Have at last bought some CTS Pot's to go into my Early 90's MIJ Fretless Jazz and they wont fit through the control plate.

Any ideas where I can get one (a control plate) that would fit or do I need to re-drill the current one.

Any help would be greatly received.

  3.
Friday Bump!!!

Someone must want this.... make me an offer..
Hi bassfan, I'm quite interested, would you accept £100 or am I being really tight?

Does this essentially have a Jamman and a whammy in it?

  4.
It is AC. When I needed one (having imported a US JamMan), I found that the model number is PS0913B and I got one from piedog. But they've gone bust (GOOD). Soundtech http://www.soundtech.co.uk/digitech/ps0913B or google for more stockists.
Brilliant, cheers Dangerboy thats spot on. BCer's the the rescue again!

  5.
Is that 9v AC? If so, then I don't know. If it's DC try a generic 9v pedal power supply like the johnnyshredfreak one.
Hi, thanks for reply but it's AC I think.

  6. My Jamman power supply has packed up, any ideas where I can get another one?

Have had a scan on the internet and Thomann do a PS 913

    http://www.thomann.de/gb/digitech_ps0920_netzteil.htm

......but it has an european plug on it and I'd rather get a UK one like the unit was supplied with.

Maplins don't seem to do one with a high enough amp rating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  7. Bought his Korg G5 Synth pedal,

Easy peasy transaction for a great pedal! top chap and posted me a receipt to keep the taxman off my back too.

    Recommended seller.

    Thanks again Mark

  8.
I'm not at home and don't have it with me, but, according to the official manual on my computer, it is 280.8 x 210.4 x 39mm, weighs 1.1kg and uses a 9V DC power source, drawing 400mA.

I power mine from my gigrig generator, and used to power it from a diago power station.
    Hope this helps
11.
Is there a major difference between the original Mutron and the Haz re-issue apart from the price tag?!!!

There are no sound sample for the Grinder on their site which is a shame - looks like it could cost a lot too.

Have heard good things about the Maxon AF-9.

If it is squelchy and keeps the bottom end I may just try one out!

    Thanks for your feedback
For me the squelch is the key to the Mutrons sound. Although the AF-9 is great I don't find it all that squelchy.

Higgie correct me if I'm wrong but the Mutron III has an optical element that is now illegal to manufacture, this contributes heavily to that squelch. The HAZ does not have this and therefore does not sound the same.

  12.
The Meatball goes for about £400+ nowadays.

The Original Mutron will you get you the 70's squelch, as that is the very unit that defined the sound. Usually around the same price as the Meatball though!

The Maxon AF-9 is the only filter readily available that even comes CLOSE to the Mutron - I would go for one of those if you can.

The Auto Q is great, but isn't what you are looking for I don't think.

The FX25B is sh*te, the original (FX25) is better - But still lacks a bit of bottom end.
+1 on the Mutron (mines fixed now!) and the Maxon (great pedal)

I'm also using an EMMA Discumbobulator at the moment which is fairly good.

Also... this looks like it will be good to get the meatball sound:

    http://www.bargeconcepts.com/mb.html

They claim its even better (s'pose they would though?!)

  13.
Nope!

I'm sorry for being so emphatic about this but regardless of how you wish to interpret that 'cut and paste' email from Warwick, the Thumb bass ceased to be referred to or marketed as a JD Thumb bass after 88. At this point it was marketed/sold/advertised call it what you will, as the 'Thumb' bass. A bass produced and sold in 1991 would not and could not have had that truss rod cover! This shouldn't/doesn't affect any value that this seller wishes to place on the bass nor should it detract from any interested party but I can assure you, that cover did not start out life on that bass.

I've owned a bunch of these Thumb basses from the JD model (which coincidentally has a whole bunch of differences, see here for a JD bass http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=jd+thumb ), through to a couple of 90/91 basses and I 'know' what I am talking about.

The seller can advertise this bass how the heck he likes and I have no issue with the quality of the instrument etc. but I am going to be a pain in the backside about the definition of JD Thumb as it is quite specific and does not refer to a 91 Thumb bass :)
I maybe should not get involved here but I have to concur with Mr Warwickhunt - I own an '89 "Thumb Bass" that I bought new in 1990 (So I know its stock). The truss rod cover says "Thumb Bass" So the JD issue appears to be only before '88. I have also never seen one (a JD) with a two piece bridge. The cut and paste from Warwick is in very broken english and from what I can understand backs up what I'm saying along with the evidence above.

We are not trying to attack you in any way (quite the reverse) - there are some very knowledgeable people here at the forum and anomalies like this just make us want to get our facts straight.

Anyway, point is if yours is anywhere near as good as mine it'll be a fantastic bass!

Best of luck with the sale

  14. Oops, should have posted this here:

Bought a Jap P off him, It's a great instrument exactly as described - sounds spot on and plays well.

Very nice guy, easy to deal with. Highly recommended seller.

    Chris

  15. Nice bloke, easy to deal with. bought my Ashdown head and left some very flattering feedback for me too.

Hope you enjoy it. (the head that is)

  16.
HEy sorry about the delay, i am actually interested in the cab! and for that price too!
Hi, great stuff...

JoeS - It's over to you - £350 sound good?

I see you're in Farnham, I'm in Guildford quite often so I could maybe deliver. If that helps?

    C

  17.
Just in case you can't work a deal out for both, I'm definitely interested in the head :)
I've had no reply from Steve yet but If you want the head and he wants the cab - lets do it.

    £250 for cab

    £350 for head

    .............Sound about right?

    Chris

  18.
hi there, are you willing to split the two? i would love to buy both as this is exactly what im after... but couldnt afford both right now as i am selling 2 EBS Proline cabs, unless they would tempt you with a trade? i was hoping for £600 for them both (210 + 300(1x15+Horn)) Thanks, Steve
Hi Steve, with regards splits I would rather try to sell them together but which are you after? If someone else wants what you don't then I might be up for a split.

Thanks for the offer of the EBS cabs but I'm so happy with my new amp that I'm keen to use just that.

    Cheers

    Chris
