1. Purchased Franks G & L Tribute L2K.

I should firstly say that during a busy weekend, he kindly put the bass on hold until I could arrange to meet him.

The bass is in near mint condition and sounds great.

Easy transaction with great communication throughout.

Cheers again Frank, was good to meet you. Nice sounding rig you've got there too.

  2. Wow, page 8! - think that speaks for itself.

Posted in the wanted section for a Stingray 5 scratchplate for my beloved but naked Ray, Dave sent me his for a more than reasonable price.

Less than a week after my initial post I have a Ray that I can display to the world again without fear of embarrassment. :)

    Top man Dave, thanks again

    Chris

  3. Don't know if it helps but I have an early 70's V4-B and I love the valve tone it produces. That said you need a big cab to get the best from it, its very grindy even at half volume.

Its huge and it weighs a tonne! Certainly not the most practical amp ever.

As for the Trace, Its a very different animal - if you like the sound of it keep it.

  4. Just received a shiny new BT-10 Hipshot D-tuner from Paul.

To reiterate what has already been said - it was a very easy transaction with good communication all the way through.

Thanks again Paul, good luck in the hunt for a BT-2.

  5.
Just get an XP-100, less than £100, has more modes than the bass whammy, and it has the fabled 5'th up/octave up that the bass whammy seems to be prized for and it sounds great with bass. The bass whammy does sound slightly better, but not £400 better.
6.
For sale are 2 Hipshot Bass Xtenders. Both are brand new and still in the original packaging. They're both in chrome and both are right handed.

The first one is the Hipshot BT3, for Pre-CBS Fender with reverse winding Kluson tuning machines. Fits 11/16 headstock holes. Installation instructions and mounting hardware included.

Compatible basses include the Marcus Miller Signature, Geddy Lee Signature, '62 Reissue Precision & Jazz.
Sorry to be pedantic but the BT2 will fit Geddy Lee Sig! not BT3 otherwise I'd be buying it from you!

  7. Picked up a Musicman Stingray hard case from Jim last night.

Dead easy deal, mint condition and bargain price. He even let me bore him for a good ten minutes on the virtues of my amp.

    Top Man, highly recommended.

    Cheers again Jim,

  8. +1 to the above.

Neil kindly answered my wanted ad for an Ashbory bass, prompt communication via PM and a quick chat on the phone left me with a mint condition Fender Ashbory.

    Thanks again mate.
