  2. Now £1.250 delivered in the UK. This a really gorgeous bass, which plays and sounds great. However, I've got my eye on another instrument which means I'm selling a few of my basses and guitars Price includes insured delivery within the UK. 1966 dot and bound neck "Round Lam" fingerboard. 1966 wind pickups Lollipop tuners Black G&G vintage style case with plush orange lining. Chrome covers are in the case (never been fitted, so there are no extra holes drilled in the body). The finger rest is in the case too. 8.15 lbs weight (according to my kitchen scales) The bass comes with the original Fender outer shipping box too. There are four small chips on the outer edge (as shown in the pics), hence the lower asking price . The rest of the bass is "as new". Price includes fully insured delivery within the UK. Go on, treat yourself
  3. Here's your chance to grab a really nice P-Bass (although there's a Fender decal on the headstock, it's NOT a Fender) Northwest Guitars neck and body The fret ends were dressed by myself, and the fingerboard edges lightly rolled, to provide a really comfortable feel in the fretting hand. Gotoh tuners EMG active P-Bass pickup Schaller strap locks Padded gig bag Price includes insured delivery within the UK. Go on, treat yourself!

  5. The green is the colour the Shoreline Gold became when the yellowed lacquer was applied
  6. Dimming Of The Day - Fairport Convention
  7. Spirits In The Material World - The Police
  8. End Of The Road - Boyz II Men
  9. The nitro is still smooth on this bass. I left the body for around 4 weeks before I flatted the finish then buffed it to a shine. As for the staining on the pickguard edges, that was simply yellow wood dye, applied with a cotton bud (do this with the pickguard off the body! If you tried to do it with the pickguard in place, it would be very easy to hit the nitro on the body, which the nitro simply loves to soak up, making clean-up a nightmare)
  10. Yes, the white lines looked a bit harsh on the edges, so I stained the chamfered edges to soften the overall look.
  11. Here's what the side edge of the headstock says on Pino's original red P -bass (the one that was used to base his Fender Custom Shop instrument on - the neck of which was based on his old sunburst P-Bass)
  12. Home build, home sprayed, home assembled and setup. TV has nothing decent to watch, so this is how I keep myself amused.
  13. When I'm bored, I do a new build. This is my latest. Poplar P-Bass body (i was inspired to use Poplar when I found out that the new Pino Stingrays would use this wood) Rothko and Frost Paisley Paper (over £33 for each sheet for the front and rear!!! Aaaagh!!) Custom wound pickup CTS pots Roasted flamed maple neck - i used white mother of pearl side dots to make them easier to see against the darkened maple when gigging. Nitrocellulose lacquer used on the body and the neck Lollipop tuners I aged the body except for under the pickguard, to mimic the way older basses look when the clear guard protects the topcoat from UV ageing.
  14. Typical - these appear when I'm skint !!! Time for me to sell some of my existing surplus basses. Here's what Pino's original bass looks like these days (pic taken by Pino's wife, Maz)
