1. Love it! Looking forward to seeing the finished guitar mate.
2. the cab has been been bought by the forum's Countjodius- such a nice guy. Great chatting with you Jodie, and thanks again for the purchase. Kevin
3. The Miracle of Joey Ramone by U2 Hey Nineteen by Steely Dan (references Aretha Franklin) Jackie Wilson Said by Van Morrison / Dexys Midnight Runners
4. I don't have the box for the cab unfortunately. When I bought it, it was from someone in Edinburgh and I simply loaded it into my car. I could wrap the cab in cardboard and bubble wrap, but the 98lbs weight of an Aguilar DB410 cab would incur a £40 delivery fee (I've just checked that on Interparcel)
5. Well, as my fragile back has caused me issues a few times over the past few years, I've decided to offload my larger rig. So, here's my Aguilar DB410 cab for sale. I don't have anything to pack it in for posting, so it'd have to be collected, or delivered by myself (I'm currently based in Motherwell, Scotland). There are a few nicks on the edges of the cab, which can be seen in the pics. The pic of the rear connector panel shows the spec: 700w with tweeter 8 ohm cab 4 x 10" speakers £350 will get this great cab
6. Gavin bought a roller rack case from me, and helped me out with a smaller rack unit too. As ever, he was a star!
7. That must have sounded great - and must have weighed a ton! That all valve power amp.was a tank!
8. Well, this is without a doubt my favourite preamp I've ever used / owned. It's never caused me any issues and sounds great. So, why am I offering it for sale? The reason is pretty straightforward, I've had a few issues with my back over the last couple of years, so my "big rig" hasn't been taken out. It seems such a shame to have such a great piece of equipment, and not put it to use. So here's your chance to grab this great condition preamp. The user manual for the unit can be downloaded from the Internet (just Google "Aguilar DB680 manual") I'll include the 2U ABS rack in the sale price. It'll make a good housing for delivery, and will allow the new owner to keep the preamp in great condition. The asking price of £850 includes delivery within the UK. Here's the Aguilar DB680 in the current roller rack. I also have the footswitch to select between inputs 1 and 2, and also allows for selecting the Mute option while tuning up. 9. The DB680 is a fantastic preamp. It seems such a shame that I haven't been using mime recently (I've been using my lightweight rig on gigs since my back got tweaked). I think I'll have mine up for sale here soon? 10. He did the dep gig for Deep Purple when Roger Glover was unavailable. Nick got the call as he's the son in law of Deep Purple's drummer Ian Paice.
11. Hardcore Uproar by Together Reminds me of my days at University. Still sounds fantastic. Woop woop! http://youtu.be/0H9jQQVnU2g
12. Edinburgh tomorrow - should be a fun gig. I also bought my ticket today for the Snarky Puppy gig next May in Glasgow (the freebie live download track you get when you book via the band website sounds great too! )
13. Pity you weren't in Camden - The Bass Gallery is a treasure trove of gear.
14. my recently acquired McIntyre Guitars fretless Jazz Bass which Chris McIntyre made to my own specs. The colour is the "Smooth Mint" colour colour used on the Fiat 500 cars. 15. funnily enough, I was actually listening to this album earlier today. I agree that it's his best solo work - just so good!
16. My McIntyre Guitars fretless Jazz Bass headstock - finished in Fiat 500 Smooth Mint colour.
