    Thanks, I'll check them out.
  3. Why is it that when I play a music source such as an MP3 song through my PA (2 10" RCF Powered Speakers at 400w a side), the bass guitar on the track sounds really loud and clear and fills the whole venue with sound compared to my bass through MAG600 Head into a 4x10 and 1x15 speaker cabs which is loud immediately in front of the speaker but then seems to vanish about 3 foot in front of the cabs and isn't as clear as the MP3 track? I've also tried DI'ing the bass through my PA but the sound is weak and has no thump like the recorded MP3 track has.

I was thinking about getting one of these to get pure electronic bass sounds with the original bass sound taken totally out of the mix but not sure if there are any good sound modules out there with decent bass sounds on them. Anyone know? With regard to string dampening, has anyone tried putting a strip of foam under the strings at the bridge? I saw this on a regular electric bass years ago for string dampening.
  5. Shame you can't post as I'd be interested in the brown one.....
  6. I used to have a white Yamaha BB414 which I liked but I couldn't live with the body shape but I like this a lot. What would it cost to post as I am too far to travel for a pick up?
  7. The best colour by far in my opinion, only wish I had the cash, someone is going to be very happy with this guitar!
  8. Nice looking bass and a good price too! Do you ever get down to Newcastle or the Borders?
  9. Tom's a top guy, and his basses are always set up well, buy with confidence!
  10. Yes it probably was the one you nearly bought. I've had it about 3 months but it just doesn't work with my current band and i'd like a 5 string.
  11. For sale - 4 string Warwick Streamer Standard. It's the single humbucker pickup German made version in natural wood finish. The volume control has a coil tap that splits the humbucker to a single coil pickup. Good condition apart from where a previous owner has added a thumb rest near to the neck and has left two screw holes when it was removed. Sale price £190 (Posted) Have just bought a 5 String so this needs to go. Trades considered for amp heads and/or cabs.
  12. Ashdown Superfly 500w for sale. Good condition, never dropped, only ever used to power a single 8 ohm cab. Great sounding amp but not the loudest amp out there unless connected to 2no. 4 ohm cabs. Will upload photos soon. Can post but email me for a postage price. £120.
  13. I've got a precision at the moment and it's a bit too "growly" for me. I'd like something a bit smoother if that makes any sense.
  14. What would you say they sound like, a Precision, Musicman or something different?
  15. Hi, Is the bass still for sale? Dave

  18. I'm selling my Riverside Headless which appears to be a copy of a Hohner B2A except that it's passive rather than active like the Hohner. I bought it from Ebay a couple of months ago purely to try a headless bass before buying a real Hohner B2A. It's red, has two pickups at the bridge and neck and has two volumes and one tone control. The previous owner has moved the original jack socket from the side to the front for some reason (see photos) but they seem to have made a decent job of it, apart from leaving the original hole on the side. It is in decent condition but has a chip on the side (see photo) and a small ding on the front. I have put some new strings on and have brought the action down but it might benefit from a more professional set up than I could manage. It plays well enough for a budget guitar and is very light. It will take regular strings as the ball ends go at the top of the neck and the loose ends go into the bridge, in the same way as they are wrapped around regular tuning pegs. The E and A tuners are a little tight for the last bit of fine adjustment but maybe a bit of WD40 will sort that out. I would guess that this guitar would appeal to someone who is thinking about buying a Hohner B2 or Steinberger but can't get their hands on one to try it first (for a general feel that is). I found that I loved the feel of a headless guitar but I always knew I was only buying it to try for a month or two so here it is for you buy. It might also be suitable for a part-custom build project. Includes a padded case, not the hohner type but smaller than a regular bass gig bag. £75 + £15 postage if you aren't close enough to collect.
