1. I have a load of spare scratchplate, the problem is its so thin on the sides of the pickup I don't think I can cut it by hand. I was hoping for a readymade replacement! Id also like a beveled edge and I wouldn't know how to do that by hand! Thanks though!
2. I am trying to source pickup surounds to replace the smashed ones on a Kay k20-b. They are such an awkward size and I don't think ones I cut out of scratchplate material will hold properly. Can anyone find replacements or point me to someone who can russle some up for me? Thanks!
3. If anyone is interested, I have a good way of keeping an eye on it while I'm out and about, I downloaded a page tracking app for android and set it up to tell me when ever it changes from 1-3 to anything else, thus sending me a notification. It's pretty fast.
4.
Anyone get the Jazz?
That was me again! I sold the left handed one I brought by accident. I'm hoping the new jazz is as good!
5. online photo sharing And screen shot on windows Aside from that its incredible for £30. Action is good. Sounds good. If it was right handed I'd keep it and throw in a kaoss pad. Tempting to just break it up for spares and eBay it. The pickups have got to be worth a tenner, body and so on.
6. My left handed jazz arrived too. Identical to the above except with a tiny chip on the back and one wonkey machine head. Easy fix. I thought it was right handed when I brought it! Oh well. May restring it a la jimi Hendrix and use it as a travel bass. Silly good for the money. If anyone has a right hand they would like to swap however...
7. Wood in the centre too so should at least sustain normally.
8.
Yes. J.
That is so so close to cool.
9.
SCOOOOOOORE Thanks, I was waiting for a Uke again
Good luck. I hope you get your confirmation email!
10. Beat you to it this time! Not going to buy a uke though. Still a bargain for just over £40 but I'm getting fed up at the sight of acoustics.
11. Why use three layers complete as apposed to leaving a hollow in the middle layer to save weight like on a hollowbody? I'd like to hear it. What's the sustain like on acrylic basses?
12.
I noticed that. I think lawsuits would follow any collision with a pedestrian.
Or the questions in a&e when someone gets a headstock stuck where the sun doesnt shine.
13. http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_kahuna_clu_bass_ukulel_deko.htm Got an app for android that says when the website changes. Just buzzed and this popped up.
14. "They became so obsessed with seeing if they could that they forgot to ask... if they should?" I have seen worse basses. I'm pretty sure someone I met had a skateboard in the shape of an ak47.
15. Totaly different body shape to what I was going for but still interesting. I guess it would be easy to just ignore the body and build another. Tempting. Anyone decided to give it a go? We could have a competition to see who can make the worst headless.
16. I'm worried it says for decoration of your car hood. Do people actually stick dismembered heads on their cars?
17.
You could buy a headless bass kit from Ireland off That Ebay - £120, includes hardware. Or if you wanted to go to Gravesend to pick it up, someone's flogging one already made up for £50 start.
I'm not traveling but the kit sounds intriguing. Its on eBay?
18.
Kiwi was selling a Moses graphite headless 4 neck or two.
Bit pricey. Cool idea though.
19. I have a block of old perspex, it would cut in three and bolt together like that. anyone have a spare headless style neck and bridge? I could have sworn I saw one for sale...
20. That has to be the coolest headless bass ever. Want. Is it possible to play sat down? Best of luck with the sale.
21. I haven't managed to find anything in a while. Was hoping there would be a few after the bank holiday.
22. So a bridge cover arrived today, its a new one as I couldn't find any correct aged ones on eBay. Anyway. Here she is with both covers on! pic host
23. Sorry. I have a huge price of perspex and some Christmas lights... I'm sure there are some very good perspex basses out there but I'm sorry I just can see it. A friend had a lime green les Paul guitar made of the same stuff and he put it down a little fast on the strap lock and boom. Strait up the middle. Maybe I should make it my task to find a cool clear bass... Maybe not!
24.
Somewhere in the early hours. I can't remember exactly though. If they've switched from updating the website from 11pm to 2am I'll never get what I want...
I hope not. Will do my sleep habits no end of good.
