1. Hi BB Thanks for that....nut width is perfect. Last mando had a 30mm nut and it was a touch tight. Totally understand re shipping but if the case was packed out with bubble wrap I can't see it getting damaged. It's normally the heavier packages that seem to cop it. It's a pain waiting in for couriers having said that so point taken. I'm happy to arrnage shipping if that would help? Anyway, good luck locally but I'll have it if you draw a blank and are happy to resort to shipping it!! Cheers SurfG
2. Can you let me have the nut width in mm please? It would have to be a post job as I'm on the other side of the country - do you reckon it's too risky?
3. Can you confirm the spec? Pickups, tuners, bridge, neck profile etc? Much fret wear?
4. Thank you guys - that is REALLY helpful. I assumed it was probably the G saddle and bolt that were original as they are chromed but wasn't too sure. Great to have the link for the repro too - I might just invest!!! Thanks again!!
5. I have a '73 EB3 and one of the saddles is different from the other three. Can anyone point out which is the correct one? The single chrome bolt and saddle or the other 3? Also, if anyone has a set of saddles/bolts spare I'd be very happy to buy them. Otherwise, any ideas where I might buy a set? Is there a replacement bridge for an EB3 that I could use instead of the original that would give me better adjustment/intonation? Many thanks........
6. For some inexplicable reason I have mentioned Doyle Dykes in relation to the PA20 amp - needless to say this should have been Mike Doyle!! Duh!
7. I have two Marshall heads that are excess to needs at the moment. Both manufacured in 1970. Would consider trades. First is a JTM 50 in great condition and serviced by Marshall about 6 months ago. Tubes changed were changed as part of the service although the original tubes are there and 100%. The OT was changed in 1992 and a Drake was fitted. This has, however, been in the amp for almost half of its life and so can't be described as 'new'. Perfect working order and sounds amazing. Currently running through a 4x12 with a HUGE bottom end and sparkling highs. More photos here: http://s763.photobucket.com/albums/xx272/surfguy13/1970%20Marshall%20JMP%2050%20watt%20head%20and%201960AX/ The other head is a Marshall PA20, highly regarded by Doyle Dykes as it has the same circuit as the Lead and Bass 20 watt head. The head was serviced by Marshall last year and the pots and PT were changed. In perfect working order and in amazing condition for a 42 year old amp. This amp is extremely loud and sounds amazing - it will break up nice and early and so ideal for home use but also loud enough for pub/club gigs. More photos here: http://s763.photobucket.com/albums/xx272/surfguy13/Marshall%20PA20%201970/ I'm interested in a Gibson 336/339/359 or possibly an old amp or WHY? Possibly a Fender CS guitar. Also happy for a straight sale. Looking for £1200 for the JMP 50 and £1100 for the PA 20 - given the condition I think they're worth it. Please PM me if you need any more info. BTW, both amps have their original leads with bulgin plugs.
8. Hey zapp - lovely guitar and seriously interested. Will try to PM you but new to the forum so not sure if I can do that!
