3.
I dont like posting guitars/basses owing to a previous bad and costly experience with one, and I always prefer the buyer to check it out first! But if you are prepared to arrange your own courier and insurance -- I will see if I can get a suitable box and packing from my local music shop! Pm me if still interested Will.
HI Will PM for you..... Cheers Guy
4. I suppose packing it up would be out of the question if I arranged a courier?
5.
Got one. And a bottle rocket. PM to discuss?
You haven't got an OC44 have you? I was going to try and get one of these as well as a V-Twin!! I don't suppose you'd consider selling it?
6.
what you want is the Bottle Rocket, fantastic pedal for bass. Wrong forum buddy, btw
Thanks for that, appreciate the nod. Also, thanks for pointing out there is a 'Wanted' section.....never realised!
7.
Hi Guy, You don't want to get a Mesa, I had one and found almost impossible to access the controls, it did sound good when dialled in though. Get the Flynn OC44 it a fantastic one control box of wonder. Proper controllable boost and extremely reactive to how you play.
Hi Patrick Yes, I am 99% convinced by the OC44, in fact I nearly bought one last week!! I have had a V-twin for many many years and need another so am used to the recessed controls - as you say, NOT very user-friendly! I just love the sounds I can get from it though and the fact that I can set the clean channel up when I use a strat and have the 'blues' channel on tap makes my old amps so much more versatile.
8. If you have one of these that you aren't using please give me a shout!! Cheers Guy
9. I have a 1962/3 AC30 head for grabs. Not really interested in selling it, prefer a part ex or a straight trade. It is a 1962 or 1963 head, likely to be late '62 according to the serial number (9885). They did make some heads and combos in '62 with black tolex. I know the word 'rare' is used far too much but these heads are rare relative to the combos. It's a big beast, about the same width as a Marshall 100 watt head but deeper, the photo below gives an idea - the head is on a 70s slant cab. It's also heavy but with 3 handles it's easy to carry. The amp is, as far as I'm aware, 100% original bar one tiny resistor and one or possibly two of the preamp valves. The output valves and most of the preamps are the original Mullards. It has the original Woden transformers. All three channels work superbly with virtually no noise - there are Brilliant, Normal and Vib/Trem channels. The vibrato and trem are the best I've ever heard - beat the hell out of any pedal. The amp has its original footswitch which works perfectly. The amp is loud and sounds wonderful - it runs on 4xEL84s, 4xECC83s and 1xECC82. The Rectifier valve is the original Mullard. There are no issues at all. The cab is in amazingly good condition as is the chassis. There are more photos on my photobucket page, including shots of the chassis/internal components, but can take any number of specific photos if needed. http://s763.photobucket.com/albums/x...cpZZ1QQtppZZ24 This amp is well loud enough for sizable gigs but also copes well at low volume. It is used almost daily so it hasn't just gathered dust as many of these old amps do. I'm interested in a Tom Anderson or a Les Paul. Would also consider vintage solid body, Fender or Gibson. Please PM me if you are iunterested. Cheers Guy
10.
I'd like to know how much please? Anyway, the rules do require you state a price.
Hi everybody Sorry for not having put a price in there, I didn't realise it was required. I've been trying to work out how to edit the post to include a price but just can't frind a way to do it. So this is the next best thing. As I said, this was/is really just a feeler and I didn't include a price initially because I honestly wasn't sure what it's worth. From the feedback I've had it's worth as little as £1800 and as much as £4000 so......? I guess I'll go with £3500 and be done with it. Massive amount of money I know but....... Cheers Guy
11. Hi everybody Been pondering whether to sell this old 175 which I've had for a loooong time. Doesn't get played as much as it should do so.......?! It's all original bar an old re-fret (including new nut) and the case. The case is a 1953 Lifton case for a 175 so a perfect fit and it's in amazing condition - all the latches work well and it really solid. The pickups are early pat no and sound wonderful. Thankfully it has a factory tunomatic bridge which is SO much better than the wood bridges. There really isn't much more to say about it! There are loads of photos on my photobucket page and the photos below will give you an idea: http://s763.photobucket.com/albums/x...ibson%20ES175/ Cash is a scarce commodity so although I do need a proportion in cash I'm also happy to consider a part ex. Open mind re what I would take although an old guitar/amp would be my preference. Please PM me if you would like any more info. 12.
How much are you asking...?
I can't believe I forgot the price!! I thought £500 for the lot was fair - the Zella cellos, particularly the older ones, tend to go for well in excess of this on their own. It's also a particularly nice cello too!!
13. A superb 20 year old full size Andreas Zeller cello with heavy-duty gig bag, tuner, sheet music and two bows. Please find more photos on my Photobucket page: http://s763.photobuc...manian%20Cello/ The cello is in immaculate condition and set up ready for either a beginner or intermediate player. It sounds wonderful. One bow is a standard bow, probably Chinese, and the other bow is a good quality German bow. The gig bag is very high quality with backpack straps and numerous pockets for bows and accessories such as tuner, strings, sheet music etc. I will include all the sheet music I have for free. Please come and try the instrument. I can be contacted on 07981 945662 and live in Witchford, just outside Ely in Cambridgeshire. I'm asking £500 which I hope is fair...... 14. Lovely guy, great comms and right on the ball. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Great deal - thank you!
15. The ME-20 is NOW SOLD.
16.
Darnit. I'd been looking for one of these, and finally succumbed and ordered one new just an hour or so before you posted. Supposed to be great pickups, so I doubt you'll have trouble finding a buyer.
It's always the way isn't it! Never happens for me either - looking for a bit of gear for months/years and then bite the bullet and buy one new and............!! If you're looking for the best soundhole pickup this it it and I know you'll love it when it arrives Mart. I really don't get on with undersaddle pickups and this LR Baggs is just the best of both worlds - superb sound and you can remove it in 20 seconds.
17. Hi everyone Bought this last year for a parlour I had just bought and.....the soundhole was just a fraction too small!! I was going to hang onto it but need the cash for another bit of gear. I paid silly money for it but would really like to get £120 back for it - postage should only be a few quid. Paypal gift would be much appreciated.
18. Hi everyone We have my trusty Boss ME-20 here. It's in great condition all round and works perfectly. No issues at all. Come with the original box and a photocopy of the manual. Great bit of kit, very well made and surprisingly versatile. The tuner is excellent and when you consider the price of floor tuners it's almost worth having it for that alone! Wah wah works well too and it doubles as a volume/mute when tuning which is a great idea for live work. It's also surprisingly easy to use too and although I haven't used the presets the sounds available from the 3 banks (drive/modulation/delay and reverb) are excellent quality and really straightforward to dial in. Looking for £70 + postage.
19. Hi Folks Just seen this ad on our local Gumtree - not sure how ggod a deal it is but looks OK to me. Thought I'd post it anyway. £1500s worth of sytrings for £600 ONO can't be bad! http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/rotosound-bass-string-sets-brand-new-1500-worth-600-ono/100227173
20. Just wanted to say that I just have completed a deal with Si for an old 60s Musicmaster 2 guitar that he'd advertised on BC. So nice to deal with a really decent and friendly person. He was relaxed throughout our email exchanges and responded to my emails very speedily. I had never bought a guitar of bass without first seeing/trying and so Si kindly offered to send it up, let me try it and then make a firm decision. That was SO helpful. He also sent me photos without hesitation. I should also add that the guitar arrived with the most superb packaging job - not only did it come in a guitar box that was padded out with bubble wrap but the guitar was incredibly well protected within the case too. I have now bought the guitar and am delighted with it. Be assured that this is a top guy, dead easy to deal with and prepared to think laterally - buying a new item of gear should be a pleasure, not a pain as it can be when dealing with people remotely, and Si ensured that I enjoyed the whole process rather than dreading it!!
21.
Hey, if the vintage 30 is 8 ohms, i'll take it Let me know asap as I'm watching one on eBay too, Cheers, Elliott
The Vintage 30 is now sold - thank you Elliot!!
22. I have this pair of celestion speakers for sale that have just been removed from a Zilla 2x12 cab. They're both mint and sound great. They've had 40-60 hours of use so starting to settle down. I'm looking for £40 each + shipping which I think will be about £9 on a next day with City Link. Hwever please feel free to pick up or arrange your own courier. Each speaker is 4.7 kilos.
23. Hi, is the pwoer block still available? If so I'll definitely have it. Will PM too
