1. Hey guys. I need to sell this to pay for another bass. I love this bass the sound is spot on Stock SR4 sounds, Just because it says SUB doesant mean its a second rate MM! Its fantastic. Very reminiscent of early flea. Its the active version. Made in the USA in the same factory as the standard SR'S Its in pretty good condition couple of dings here and there but otherwise fine. Has had a replacement guard as the original was pretty junky. Has a new set of DR High beams put on her. As soon as i recoup my money I will be buying another. (Maybe a 5 string SUB) £350 FIRM. Collection From Bristol ONLY, I will not send this bass. It hurts me to sell this
2. Hey guys. Never thought i would do this but i need the money desperately for a bass i love and getting a good price on. Yamaha RBXJM6, Ebony FB, Maple neck, Dunlop locking pins, All original Gold hardware, new Corian Nut, Has some dings and a green tinge to the finish on the back on the neck (Practically every played JM bass has this due to the ultra thin finish on the back of the neck) Has had a nice recent setup. Great 3 band EQ, Really crisp tones. I want £370 FIRM. Has to be picked up from Bristol ONLY. I will not ship. Cheers.
3. Well my Tokai P bass has a P neck on it, But its staying unless you pay for the whole bass:P though its 300 firm.

6.
well we have another practice this monday and as per the bank holiday ritual the singer wont be there, we were going to go down anyway and brush up on certain songs (the drummer, who is actually a very good singer as well as drummer normally does some vocals) but the lead guitarist has a mate at work that has said he fancies having a go singing in a band and is supposed to be quite good so he's going to pop down to give a few songs a bash, might give the rythmn guitarist something to think about if hes any good. personally no idea what eh is like.
This is what happened to me twice, bringing in someone else behind my back. I was kept in an indie rock band because of upcoming high paying gigs for over a month whilst they kept "cancelling" practices but actually training someone else behind my back. But kept me on for those gigs. I was with them for 2 years, yet decided i wasent right for them. They may have been right but its a really sh*tty thing to do. It also happened again with a funk band i was with. Its the shittiest thing you can ever do so for gods sakes tell your singer your trying someone else out or dump him before you try the new guy out.
7. Gorgeous, Wish i had the scratch or something to trade!
8. Ahhits a pity i havent got anything else to trade of similar value
9. Bah, You can never have enough!
10. Possibly this. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2521
11. That is GORGEOUS. Looking for any trades?
12.
you will regret parting with that head!! if its not loud enough with the cab - add another or get a better cab, these heads are fairly rare now...I would hold onto it and, if, you really need too go broke in buying something else...
Hmm i was thinking of getting Another cab instead But i am not 100% I am just not sure this head is my thing! Close but no cigar!
13. Past Owned. Stagg MB300, First ever bass, probably the best starter bass one could ever own. It had Twin MM pickups and i have just realised that those pickups are probably my sound and i havent owned another MM pickup bass until recently. Kramer Aluminium neck Voyager, Only had for about month, It was nice enough to play but the sound was pretty bland for the money i paid for it. Gibson Custom Shop Q-80. Was very good, Regretted trading it out. Galveston 8 string unpaired monster bass, Meh. It was good enough to tell me it was far too advanced for me to have at the time! BC-Rich NJ Mockingbird from 1986, Bought From Lorne, Sold to Wil, Want it back. I love the Electronics and it nails the Geezer butler tone. BC Rich NJ Eagle Neck Thru, 80's. I liked the idea of having a neck thru, and to date has been the only neck thru i have owned. I just couldnt get on with the neck or the sound. Maverick Dave Pybus model. Neck heavy, Nice sound if overly compressed. Worth far more then they are sold for. Nice Styling. Fender Geddy Lee. Too thin sounding, Not like Geddy At all. Love the looks but thats it. Very unimpressed. Warwick Fortress M, First Foray into Warwicks. Didnt last long, Hated it. Warwick Streamer LX4, Second foray into Warwicks, Realised a second time i didnt really like them. Though lasted longer then the Fortress. Spector Legend 6. Sounded great in the shop. Not at practice, Plus the upper registers i found rather choking, I didnt like the curved radius of the FB. Fender Jaguar. Nice to look at Decent slap sound, But overall nothing really stood out for me with this bass. Probably did a better P impression then a J. Hohner Cricket bat. Lovely slap bass, great tone, Got rid of it because i was "Upgrading" And needed the money. I would love an original steiny one day. BASSES I CURRENTLY OWN. (Everything is for sale for the Right price Yamaha RBX Johm Myung 6 string. The original MK1, Its heavy as hell but its the bass that has stayed with me longest (Technically See Tokai P bass entry) Its got 6 strings, Plays well for a 6. The sound is nearly what i want. Has been the only 6 string i ever got on with, Never attempted to sell it or contemplated selling (And so far has been the only bass i have owned that hasent) However Money is a great persuader! Its a great tapper, Replaced the Plastic nut for a Corian one and put a Neutric Locking Jack on it. Musicman SUB Stringray. Very Recent aquisition but i love the Sound, And is very close to THE tone. Its a tad brittle on the top end but i got a amazing deal on it and love it very much, Might sell to put towards a SR5 eventually. I LOVE the neck, Reminds me of a slim P neck. BC-Rich Ironbird Bass USA. Bought this NOS. Havent had alot of time to play it as its been at shop getting settled into the English weather. Its gorgeous, Plays great. BRILLIANT P tone. Rare as hell and i havent seen another in such good condition for sale. Would only possibly sell for quite alot of money (Were talking 700+ here, The trouble it took to get it over here :S) Needs straplocks and a webby strap once its ready to go on an outing. Tokai P-Bass. Japanese Probably the bass i have played most gigs with. One of the only basses i ever bought new. I have owned it twice. I traded it out and traded it back in. I missed it alot. I upgraded and pimped it out. The best playing P i have ever played, Sounds like a P should, However i still keep putting it up for sale even though i know i would just want it back again ASAP! I just think this bass was born to stay with me. To me everything is for sale at the right price. Thats how i have a revolving door of basses. I am getting closer and closer to the tone i want all the time however. BASSES I WANT TO OWN. Bongo 5/6 Rickenbacker BC-Rich Ironbird Neckthru with full electronics, Preferably 5 string. Status Headless S2. Something with a Trem. Fender Antigua Basses, P or J. P bass with Body Binding.
14.
Interesting amp - what type of tubes ar ein there, 112 watts soulds like a funny number. Kiwi will probably buy this anyway lol ped
I just double checked Its actually rated at 115 watts RMS. Heres the owners manual. It uses the GP7 Pre as a base unit and adds valves etc. http://britishaudioservice.com/schem/Series%206/Twin.pdf At a guess i would say there are 2X 12ax7 (ECC83) preamp tubes And 2 6550 power tubes
15.
You're a picky one, you are Mind you, I'm not sure it would be able to compete with my drummer in rehearsal anyway. I need to push my LMII quite hard sometimes, and that's not a quiet amp!
I've never had a problem with the trace with that, The more i push it the better it sounds too VALVES... However I just want a clean clean sound, So i need a bigger More powerful amp.
16.
Wowsers! I'll trade you the mock for the Trace head!
But then i wont have an amp... We'll see what offers i get then i will consider it But at the moment the mocks at the top of the pile.
17.
Bought his BCR Mockingbird ages ago. Sure I posted feedback in the old forum, but sale was smooth, Rob is a great guy to deal with and the bass was as described.
I still want that back
18. The Trace is SOLD. The cab is still here. I have a Peavey 2x10 Cab for sale with the horn, I have no pictures of it but most of you know what they look like, It has a great Punch Sound to it. Probably the most reliable cab i have ever owned. Its the 4 Ohm version. £80. Collection is from Bristol ONLY. I have no transport. Cheers! Rob.
19. Also now looking for a unpaired 8 or nice cabs/amps to part ex with.
20. Freakin hell dude, DONT DO IT> You paid through the nose and you wanted that bass for so long! Course i would have it but i have nothing of interest
21. That is gorgeous. Trade for a Nice Japanese Tokai precision bass with EMG active pup? Gold Pickup covers and Gold anodised scratchplate? I am in Bristol not far from you. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2521&st=0 Cheers. Rob.
