  1.

    1991 Warwick Thumb NT 4.

Now - £1699 shipped Mainland UK

Good overall condition given the age - lots of photos below of the bass in different light etc to show the condition.

Set up nicely and does the classic thumb thing.

Few minor marks on the body, mainly around the edges.

Some marking on the front face of the bass from thumb wear.

Ding on the underside of the neck between the 10th and 11th fret.

  2. Great gig last night.

Sound was excellent, best I've heard at a large venue for some time, maybe ever.

Crystal clear mix and not too loud too.

Big set, 2 hour plus.  After touring around London all day and probably not eating enough , embarrassed to say, I ran out of energy and feinted in the encore!

4 feints in all I think from the first one to getting to the concourse for a sit down, thankfully my girlfriend and a lovely lady stranger helped me to a quiet cool spot to recover.  Thanks to the lovely lady stranger for the help getting out to the side and buying me some water, nice too know there are still people out there willing to help.

  3. Dood is correct - of course!

I find EBS cabs to pair excellently with EBS amp, particularly on the the bright control.

Interesting voicing on the EBS cabs too - they start quite high, the Prolines start at about 70Hz so filter out a lot of the flub naturally.

I leave my TD 650 at our rehearsal space.  Great amp.

Huge output but still crystal clear and each note beautifully defined in a dense hard rock mix.

  5. Spector Rebop 4 String - £675 Shipped Mainland UK.

In an attractive colour which I believe is plum.

Good overall condition given the age - minor mark on the body of the bass, minor dent around the top of the 5th fret, also extra screw holes for tuners on the back of the headstock where I think someone has had the tuners oreientated in a slanted Warwick position (eek!!)

This is an early model, fretboard dots not crowns and  an aguilar OBP preamp (rather than a tonepump) mated to the EMG pickups.

Currently wearing flats but happy to swap to a set of rounds should a buyer prefer.

Absolute mint to me means as new out the box condition.

    I'd be disappointed otherwise.

I have no issues buying a 2nd hand bass that the owner has highlighted any flaws with it.

Saying something is absolute mint when it clearly isn't is surely against trade descriptions in some way i would have thought.

I bought a 2nd hand Jaydee fretless from them and the advert did highlight any dings etc on it. Cant remember the exact description on the headline to be honest.

    Dave

    Agreed.

Mint to youngsters means really good like innit.

Mint in the real sense, and in describing items, should mean absolutely immaculate / as new.
