1. I played this today - Lovely - certainly kicks that old GB into touch........
2.
Welcome to free ebay, fingerz.
I know the guy selling this GB because I sold it to him a few years ago. He is a pro player and a nice guy. It's a really nice bass too so anyone looking for a quality GB 5 string needs to check it out. Steve
3. This is my old rig and it sounds HUGE! A bargain too, these preamps are hard to find and generally in demand.
4. Hi Ari, I'm sorry that you have to move this bass on. I have the sister bass and it is outstanding - Fantastic playability, craftsmanship and variety of tone- all at around 8lbs in weight. Might look unusual but believe me it will grow on you. Anyone looking for a high end five string needs to look at this bass!
5. I've owned the same ones as Birdy...... Lovely quality basses - Fat finger tone (lots of preamp options too). Really nice to play and light weight too Check out Bassdirect for sure, Mark has nice ones in stock and at least one more should be here this week!
6. Andy has bought my beloved (but heavy) Epi212 NYC. Very nice to meet you ! No probs at all - recommended!
7. Don't discount the FBass - they are top notch with great tone. There is (at least) one for sale in the forum right now for a very good price.

10. Sold two basses to Colin. Great bloke and a fellow driver!
11. Sold my Markbass Head to Etienne - no problems at all. Never met him actually but his mum came 'round and was very nice! Steve

15. GAS for a cab is stronger than my love for this bass - my loss!
16. I loved the tone of the Aggie DB750 but it wasn't that great for slap and it does weigh the same as a Sherman tank! I knew Mark at BassDirect had a GBE750 in stock and as usual he was brilliant and let me bring it home for a spin - it's still here! I am considering trading it for a GBE1200 which is just ridiculous but as I do this stuff for fun I really don't give a monkeys! I've decided weight is good!( I don't gig very often) They are great amps, very sturdy build and they look great. They have a tube channel and a Fet channel and you can mix the two (using the included foot pedal if required). Tone-wise I can say that the GBE750 is capable of a wide range of tones but I prefer to have an old school type tone which the amp can produce but not quite as fat as the Aggie - the up side of the compromise is in the slap tone which is as good as any amp I've heard imho. I don't do overdrive or any of that stuff so can't comment. The 750 is loud so don't ask me why I want a 1200 - I can't answer that without reverting to a childish 'I just DO' I've been playing it through my Epi 212 nyc and it sounds great with a Skjold 5 and even better with a Celinder Precision('KING amazing bass ) which I found some amps couldn't do so overall I think it suits very nicely. I had to smirk a bit when I found the 'Made in Taiwan' stamp on the front underside of the casing where you really would have to be looking hard to find it. No problem for me and as you know I've been through a few amps......... Personally I just couldn't love the Markbass LMII apart from it's amazing weight but for whatever reason I just felt that it didn't produce the oomff I like in my tone. It'll be interesting to try the Shuttle6 but I have a feeling it won't be the same as the heavy-iron? You know you are always welcome to come down for a try - maybe we could meet at Marks place as I'm on leave after Tuesday for 3 weeks - woohoo!
17. I have one and like it a lot-very quick amp- amazing slap tones and makes my Precision sound great too, which I find not all amps can do. Sorry I'm in a rush for work I'll get back to you later!
18. Yeah Terry me too - it's a beauty! I've decided to keep it - what the hell......one roundwound one flatwound!
19. No Interest at all? Price reduced to £700.00
20. Bump for a superb bass...........oh and Steve's OK too!
21. Recently acquired a boutique Precision and don't need two so genuinely with regret this has to go. This is a really great bass in excellent condition. I believe it is a body from the late 70's and a neck from the early 80's. Check out the serial number S 90.... Will consider trades for EPIFANI UL cabs or £700 for a straight sale. Comes with case. Prefer pickup in Milton Keynes but of course anything considered.
