I've always used Rotosound rounds, just a shame that the most expensive set (flats) that I got, although they felt and sounded great - the G snapped before I'd even really played them, so I still have the other three practically unused sat on one of my basses

Did you contact Rotosound about this problem...?

    Their customer service is excellent.

Thats really weird... What about the current each pedal is taking? It's not trying to take more power than it can deliver?

Yes - check the maximum amps supplied by your power supply at 9V and then work out what each pedal needs...

Also might be worth trying some different patch leads between the pedals in case of a duffer.

I have been nursing a frustrating hum for years now and thought I had tried everything (different leads, moving hardware, earth loops etc) and had given up on the thing, deciding to live with it rather than fret about it because in most cases you can't hear it on the finsihed track and because I am only sketching, not recording things for release.

Anyway, for no reason other than grabbing what was at hand, I used a new (expensive) lead on the weekend (one of the ones I gig with)and its a silent as a grave. It wasn't that I was using one bad lead. It was ALL of my leads that were cheap and probably bordeline microphonic (hence chaning the original set of leads had not cured the problem).

SO now I have to replace all of my leads with decent ones. More expense!

Worthy expense though - I have just upgraded my instrument cables and it has made a difference.

Are you using any compression or limiting on your bass recording...?

I voted Olympic white too, best looking of the three IMO.
Me too - I would have voted Fiesta Red but that doesn't look anything like FR to me...more like Coral Pink.

This is a common problem - I love Fiesta Red but so many Fenders are being produced now with this wierd shade - take a look at the Squier CV 60s Precision in 'Fiesta Red' - it doesn't look right at all...

  5. In good, used condition - a few small tears in the Tolex finish which can easily be glued down if you are bothered. Sounds great.

I bought this recently from S9 S12 Bass of this very parish and I'm now having a rig rejig so it has to go. Original thread is here with pics:

I'm a punter who went out and spent £27 on a set of '77' flat wound 45-105's. Was really looking forward to slinging these on the TBird. I'll start with the bad bit, then finish with a positive. They are so 'tight' I found then unplayable for me. Just rock-hard tension, and my neck was pulled so far forward, I thought it might give some problems.
I recently bought a set of the 77s but I did some research first and found out that the tension is higher so I ordered a set in a lighter gauge and they are very nice.

My RS66 set has arrived - many thanks to Rotosound.
