1. A while back I A/B'd my Bagend bass 212 cab against a dedicated guitar 110 cab .... Bagend say that this cab can not only be used for bass but also electric guitar .. Both me & our guitarist came to same conclusion ... Distorted / overdriven guitar sounded better through guitar cab .. it must be something to do with the speaker / cone construction etc. Cleans however did also sound nice through the bass cab and if my memory serves me well I think they sounded fuller (maybe bass freq are enhanced due to its design) but it was a 212 vs 110 so maybe not a fair comparison. I think it's speaker cone breakup which is key for a good driven guitar sound but let the experts out there correct
2. Thanks for the replies guys ... gonna save up & get one
3.
I have one, really pleased with it, the expression pedal opens up loads on trippy shizzle!
is this delay noisy ? Can it do a bit of reverb type effect ? How's the low end as I've heard delays can take it out ?
4. I meant the 'minifooger' but appreciate your experience anyway coz I assume the mini will still have some similarities ... If you get chance can you see if it muddys up on bass ? ... cheers
5. Hi all, As the title says I'm after opinions on this delay pedal ... maybe delays in general (have heard some analog delays can bit muddy on repeats as they decay). I have an expression pedal which can be used with this Moog & also hope to use the drive for some grit ... Can this delay do a decent kinda reverb btw ? And .. Is it a noisy pedal ? cheers Simon
6. I like em ... very atmospheric & even a bit eerie. I'm still contemplating reverb and/or delay as I've a little space left on my board. Keep em coming & I'll definitely have a listen ...
7. How does it compare to the cog darklighter ?
8. I tried one out last week & I really liked it ... nearly bought it but looks like I'm getting a Cog Knightfall (variant) instead
9. After a bit of soul searching I'm reluctantly putting my Bagend 212 powered cab up for sale / trade. Unfortunately pending holidays & other financial commitments need to be met & this fabulous cab is the only thing of value I can realistically part with ... I bought it new last year & it's never been out of the house except for one day in the studio when we recorded our album. So it's in immaculate condition. Two full range 12" speakers powered by Bagend Minima One class D amp (restricted to 500w) with built in 3 position HPF / (un)balanced (jack / xlr) plus 'thru' jack & powercon mains lead. Though compact it is a bit on the heavy side weighing in about 36kg but that's the trade off for two large ceramic magnets I guess. Basically just plug in any preamp (pedal) & away you go, adjust your volume on your preamp as the onboard amp has no volume control so always at max power .. kinda makes it easier. I will consider trades / offers preferably with cash my way but don't be offended if I take something in trade just to sell on ... Price quoted is more regarding a similar new trade price but def open to offers .. trade wise (amps) Glockenklang (GK RB400-IV) (bass) 5 string 35" (or longer) http://www.bagend.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/PD12-D.pdf http://www.bagend.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Minima-One1.pdf As there's no pic on PD12-D link I thought I'd add this link of 212 cab (just add Minima One amp to it lol) http://www.bagend.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/D12-D.pdf
10. Let us know how you get on Andy ... I like the idea of added 'grit' but no room on my board (except for the recently acquired Duamknd comp) ... congrats !
11. Looks nice ... let us know how it sounds. I'm still on the lookout for my ideal dirt pedal. Where are you getting it btw ?
