I just bought the dolphin grey model from a selling in Japan for about £400, but it would appear it has gone missing in transit :-( Still waiting to hear the final conclusion on its status from the seller in Japan, but if both he and Parcelforce aren't able to find it and declare it well and truly "gone", I'll get a full refund and take this one from you, and I greatly prefer this colour (and the White) anyway. Full disclosure, I have copied and pasted this same message to the guy selling the white one that I also have my eye on, but I prefer both these colours to the dolphin grey one I've already ordered. In the event that I have to just get that full refund from the guy in Japan, I'll be looking to buy from whomever of the 2 of you still is selling (not sure how long Ebay refunds take to process, else is do it right now)

THIS BASS HAS NOW BEEN SOLD! MTD Kingston Artist 4 String Price or Trade Value: £699 from BassDirect (the cheapest retailer I could find for this bass, and also whom I purchased it from) Bought for £550, selling for £320. Open to negotiation, just don't take the p***. No trades Insured shipping no problem Based on Musicman Stingray, near-mint condition (just a couple of dings in the back of the body; there upon purchase), no scratches. Excellent frets and superb neck/ neck pocket joint, very low action is possible and fast as hell to play. Weighs about 9lbs, discontinued model no longer made by MTD. Comes in a new gig bag and I'll package the hell out of it upon shipping. Plenty of tonal range with the active electronics. The asymmetric neck shape in not as pronounced as you'd expect but is super comfortable, even though this neck is thicker on the E-string side than on most other basses I've owned (Jazz Bass/ Ibanez archetypes). Zero fret at the nut make for super-consistent volume and tone all over the neck, even between fretted and open strings. This is likely the second best bass I've ever owned (the first was a G&L JB2 tribute, which I only sold due to it's high string tension giving me a lot of RSI issues in my right wrist). Only selling this bass for 2 reasons; firstly, the fretboard radius is (I believe) around 11 (not sure on this exact number, it's just noticeably less-pronounced than I would choose for myself), and thus much flatter than I am used to or comfortable with, leading to more the the aforementioned RSI issues I am prone to (yay for me...). Secondly, because the band I am currently playing in is a 3-piece and requires a much "woolier", fuller sound to fill the mix; the very thing I've spent the last 8 years trying to get away from. Think old P-bass played fingerstyle, rather than Stingray/ played with a pick). This bass is very tight-sounding and modern, and leaves our particular mix a little thin for my tastes/ ears. I could play about witht he controls and get the sound I need but personally, I hate doing that. I like to get the tone I want from my hands or not at all, and playing around with dials annoys/ bores me. Go figure! Were I in a different band, I probably wouldn't sell it because it sounds great. Hey man, I'm interested in this bass but need to know a few things first: This ding you mention on the neck, where exactly is it and can you send a photo? Body blemishes don't bother me at all (quite the opposite in fact) but neck dings can sometimes irritate me, depending on their severity. If it's minor or somewhere my hand isn't going to feel it, I won't care at all. Does the neck have any warping/ dead spots/ crazy fret buzz in certain spots? Most of this can be fixed but I'd like to know what work may or may not lay ahead. Lastly, if I do decide to buy this, can we arrange some kind of payment via PayPal because I like the security and can just whack it on my credit card :-p I'm currently in talks with Bass Direct about a white 93/ 94 Japanese Jazz Bass they have but have always had my heart set on a black one. Their's goes on sale tomorrow so if you can satisfy my above questions before then, I'm definitely going to take this off your hands :-)

Man, if I hadn't just blown £700 on a computer for work, I'd have bought this without a single question. It looks like it's brand new! Would you accept a kidney as a down payment? I can see this selling quickly...
