Might have to get one to partner my Fallout guitar.
-
Hope it improves for you.
If I were to cancel a rehearsal due to a splinter in a finger, my band would give me hell.

Nice one, sounds like a good deal. Some decent pots will make all the difference.

Last week, I converted a customer's active Squier Jag to passive. Completely transformed it, from an horrid boomy mush to clear articulate Fendery goodness.
Sorry a bit of a thread hijack but just making the point that sometimes the manufacturers don't get it right and that simple can be best.

Will keep you in mind

Our drummer has some phone app thing which tracks the actual tempo he's playing at and he uses that to make sure he's playing -broadly - in time.
It's early days with this band but it seems to work. There've been a couple of occasions when the guitarist has queried the tempo and the drummer's just pointed at the trace line on the app. Discussion closed.
Dave can you let me know the name of the app? Cheers.

Thanks, this is one area i've never even contemplated doing is there a spec for how it should be?
Have a close look at the underside of the string where it sits in the nut, if there is a gap under the string, then it's not sitting correctly and the nut slot would need some filing.
Inspect the contact point of the string with the saddle and see if the string is sitting correctly. Whenever I put strings on, I always press each string down fairly firmly, immediately in front of the saddle, this ensures a good contact point with the saddle. I do the same at the nut.
-
First thing I would check is that the offending string is sitting correctly in the nut slot and on the saddle. Quite often a little filing is required.

Enjoyed that, great job.

A pleasure to deal with and a nice easy hassle free transaction with Steve, happy to recommend.

Was looking at this a couple of days back, lovely instrument and extremely versatile with the neck options but not for me at that price.

Like @ped, I love the MFD pickup in my SB1. Yes it's hot and clanky with the volume full on but just rolling the volume knob back very slightly puts in vintage Fender P bass territory. The tone pot gives further manipulation, so all in all I find it a very versatile pickup, with very usable sounds.

D'Addario Pro Steels are what I'm using, was always a fan of DR highbeams and the Pro Steels, are to my ears, a close match.

That Fender logo was used on cases from mid to late seventies.

I stopped going a few years back, mostly due to the incessant noise.
Also I'm a miserable, unsociable git 😂
