  11. I'm a bit emabarressed really because we do all the wrong things mentioned but are amazingly out 5 nights a week!. I think the most important thing is to entertain, keep em' drinking, singing and dancing. We never rehearse and usually just try it out at the gig. Quite appalling really but it keeps us entertained.
  12. Like us all we've played many a bass but the G & L's are probably the best bass there is and at that price I would have bought it but I just got the L2500 of BC and its just outstanding! Good luck with the sale.
  13. Ableton Live. I've tried them all over 21 years and thats the best in terms of making you record and compose. It doesn't have all the complications of the others but just what you need. The tutorial is also excellent. As I say I've been through them all and I've settled with this for the past 4 years.

    Germany Calling

I did 2 x 10 day runs over in Berlin which included an Irish bar. I do a lot of Irish bars over here and yes they all tend to have a PA in. You might be wise to get an agent who can guarantee the gigs that way you just need to sort out a van and your gear as the agent will sort out accom. Are you playing your own material or covers?
  15. Thanks for replying. I'm looking to add it to a cab I've got an Eminence Kappalite 3015LF. I just wanted to know if its got a crossover in it so it doesn't except any low frequencies it cant handle as I just want the Kappalite to handle them? Many thanks Carl
  16. Hi, Has anyone got any views about this cab? Ta Carl
  17. Hi, I use Ableton Live which is the best tool for writing I've used over 20 years. (I tought Music Tech for 7 years) and I've used Logic also which is outdtanding but for writing Ableton beats it hands down. For a sound card I use a presonus firebox which again for the cost is great. I also use an Behringer FCB1010 foot controller when I need to trigger loops live. Hope this helps Carl
  18. Hi Ya'll, I've just installed an Eminence Kappalite 3015LF into a Wawrick WCA 115 ND cab. I want to put in a hi frequency thingy in the cab but I'm not sure what type to get. I also want to put in an attenuater and understand the wiring for it all. I'm sure there someone who's probably put the info up here already but I can find it using the search engine. Can anyone help? I originally put the Kappalite into an Ashdown Electric blue 180 and it has a great sound but the amps too small to handle the bigger gigs. If anyone has got any ideas about a quality amp to go with this cab It would be appreciated also. I'm using a G & L L2500 Tribute which I bought off a guy on Basschat which by the way is amazing. Many thanks Carl

    G & L L2500

Just got a G & L L2500 Tribut bass off one of the guys on Basschat at a bargain price. Its Maple neck and Bluebirst. Probably one of the best basses I've had over the past 30 years for sure. Also Loaded my Ashdown Electric Blue 180 with an Emenence Kappalite LF which has made a difference to the sound of the cab. About to load one into a Warick cab my brother's given me and there's enough space for a little horn too. I'll get the full 300w out of the little bugger then. Happy days.
  20. Hi, I am available to give electric bass lessons covering all genre's of popular music. I have over 30 years experience playing live, recording and reading. I can teach beginners to advanced and help improve your technique whilst developing your own style. I can also help you understand bass and where it fits in a song by helping you understand the structure and arrangement of music. This will be achieved by building a song using Ableton Live, Logic or whichever software you would also like to develop. PM me if you want to get to the next level. Happy Summer! Carl
