I recently got one of these too. Love it. Played a gig with it last weekend and musician/engineer in the audience said it was the best bass tone he had every heard (He was sober), said it was total quality.

Has anyone got their hands on one of these yet or are they all still on back order. I'm intrigued to see how easy it is to use in a live situation. The helix hx is great for quick navigation but I'm lusting for some amp sims now. The helix floor is way too big. If they come up with a sansamp module for the hx as rumoured I might just survive 🤔

Valeton, never heard of them until now! Just checked out their Bass Dapper, the octaver sounds good compared to the tech 21!

The Line 6 product manager has been posting in the Helix HX thread on Talkbass:

Wow, this could stop me thinking about selling and getting the HX stomp. Always been a fan of samsamp.

So are the bass pre-amps worth having on this? Is there a list of available amp sims?

Just landed by self a HX, sounds great overall. Can I get a envelope I like? No! Anyone else got something that works well.

Anyone any further experience with this on bass? I know there is the new stomp version out now.
Cheers

That's a no then 🤣

Watching this thread. I really feel the need to push the button on the Genzler. Nothing coming up second hand. Get some great sounds from the TH500 and love the thickness, but I do find myself whacking the master volume up more than I anticipated. Perhaps it's settings. But I'm not one for faffing with settings. The Genzler sounds like it's simple for me. 😃

My little lad just can't get enough of music and has spent the last 2 weeks trying to play daddies bass. I was wondering what options there are for little ones of such a tender age. Thought about a short scale but still think the body of this might be to heavy. Any suggestions? Cheers Proud Dad

I'd find another band bud and use them as you seek fit (if the pennies add up).

Stumbled across these guys selling all things musical. Anyone used them? Any good?
-
I know this may make me sound like a dumb donkey, but so be it.
Could someone explain the purpose and use, functionality?
I've noticed a few pedal units with the feature and I haven't the foggiest of what it actually means when it's says you can load IR's.
Load from where? Is there a website with a million pre-loaded sounds? Do you have create them from scratch?
See I'm totally confused.
Thanks 🤔

Band lighting - small but functional
in Accessories and Misc
Posted
Hi,
Anyone any recommendations on band lighting for pub gigs. Don't want to spend a fortune, poss 150-200 max.
The easier it is to set up and pack down the better. Not sure what the best approach is in terms giving an equal spead across stage. We're a 4 pc band, so initially thought about 4 separate led lamps on the floor. Do they need to be on a T-bar? What's best bang for buck?
Cheers
Tony
