Aye that's what I thought man but some dude on a website said all this weird tuning. B. E. A. D. G is what i said but he said its incorrect pfffft

Drop B just means that the guitarists will drop their lowest string down to a low B. You don't have to, as you know, because you already have a low B.

    Have fun!

I assembled a bitsa - Squier body with a Fender fretless neck that fitted when I went fretless. It looks like a Fender and I feel like a fraud and correct people (mostly schoolkids) who say "ooh Fender". Really I should sand off the Fender decal and get a Squier one!

But the neck is a Fender. Get a Squier decal for the body 😉

    I do!

High G string does appear to be a bit closer to the edge of the fretboard than the low E string, all the way up as far as that picture allows you to see.

And while the pickups seems perfectly in line with the neck on that photo the bridge doesn't quite.

Not that I personally think it impose a real issue, but I am pretty certain the bridge is in fact slightly misaligned, and that that is the main reason for the strings slightly misaligning with the pickup pole pieces.

Looks like the neck just needs a loosen and a little pull to the left.

I've had good luck with off looking bridges by loosening them a bit and giving them a little turn to straighten them too.

There's always a bit of wiggle room 😉

I want a new bass…. Going round in circles

Probably the singular most dangerous phrase to post on a bass players forum :shok:

    Heed this warning.

Between the two basses you've mentioned, you have it all covered really.

Why not deep dive into some new styles of music, ways of thinking about bass playing and spend time, not money, developing your skills, ear and overall ability? Everyday is a school day, whoever you are!

My advice is to ignore the shiny material things and polish up yourself instead.

I say this as much to myself as to you, so it is said sincerely with only good intentions.

    Have fun!

  5. Ellen just bought a Harley Benton hollowbody bass from me, on it's way to her as we speak.

Lovely chat on the PMs and instant payment.

She's fairly new to the forum so I thought I'd start her own feedback thread.

    Thanks Ellen!
