  1. I don't think Rickenbacker have made C64s for a decade or more so would have had the dual trussrods (especially because they were the more pricey "vintage correct" model. Kinda. A right handed version of a lefty...They also didn't have a zero fret.

I'm going for a HW custom order tribute passed on as genuine.

Happy to be wrong but that's where I'd place my bet.

This was my selection a while back.

The one on the end is a 5-string I bought from @6feet7, but I didn't quite gel with it and sold it back to him a year later when he had seller's remorse. I've now got another jetglo ('88) instead which I bought from some Guy.

I may pick up one or two more if/when the right ones pop up...

But which one to play?... Nice problem to have!

Strangely, the new 2023 4003 basses now have a single trussrod, whereas the 2023 4003s basses are advertised as having "an improved dual truss rod system".

Typo or just Rickenbacker being Rickenbacker? 🤷‍♂️

Same story on all the ones listed for sale through official dealers...

    Bizarre.

The 2023 models are totally redesigned, one truss rod the neck profile is a very flat D it feels amazing, the best neck I have played on without a doubt , the one truss rod makes it easy to set up the bass in minutes, When I first started playing Rics back in 1978 the necks were baseball bats and I am not exaggerating, The new models are soooo much better I have had over 40 of them.

The headline was "NBD, my first Rickenbacker". Years ago I could have written: ORD (old Rick day), my first bass.

It was from 1974 and black. From Denmark street, and cost was £400. Lovely. I might try one again, but the price, no way.

    Well this is interesting...

Enjoy your new Ric, purchased a 2023 myself ,  the necks are just amazing flat profile skinny neck back to front, The new bridge and one truss rod now. sounds and plays superbly.  I have owned over 40 of them,  this 2023 is the best of all of them.

I'll also throw in a mix bag of all the strings I have in my drawer here to experiment with. New and used, all top brands, used strings all usable and barely used. Cut for Fender so will fit most basses out there.

From news reports, it would appear that there was an assault earlier on, and this shooting was 'retaliation' between rival gangs. I wasn't there, though, so it's just what CNN published. It may not be so. :|

It's true. There is cctv footage of a big dust up in a hotel lobby between the two groups just prior to Tupac's murder.
