You don't see too many of these higher spec Elricks for sale and this one is rather nice. 👍

Thanks for doing the legwork for this Matt @neepheid 👍
Random thought....this isn't a "Bass Bash" but a chance to meet up and talk so shouldn't it be called a "BassChatChat"?🤔🤣🤣

Would any of you Aberdeen city and shire bassists be interested?
Yes that might just work 👍 I missed the original post so I'll tag a couple of other "locals" who might be interested @Yan_Huriey@jig@ToneFree@woodyratm

I gigged with him a lot down here in London. One of the best drummers I played with, he is sadly missed.
Yes I did a couple of charity gigs and a number of jam nights with him. Lovely guy and very talented. When he came back to Aberdeen he played in the Gerry Jablonski Band with our very own @jig

Yeah, that eventually dawned on me
The Anagram was quite happy with the "/" in the name so I initially didn't think twice about it. It was only when Darkglass Suite (on my PC) was trying to export to my PC that they stopped playing together nicely 🤣 All happy again now. 👍

I got my Anagram 4 week ago and I'm really liking it. Great interface and sounds, just what I wanted. I've used it at a number of home practice sessions, rehearsals and gigs and it worked flawlessly until last night......😮
I was playing a local beer festival with a multi band line up, so minimal change over times. I only needed to take my bass, wireless and Anagram everything else was provided. As usual I'd checked all my gear at home. Got to the festival, set up and tried tuning up via the Anagram.....didn't respond or tune like it had at previous gigs so no problem I just borrowed a tuner. I then plugged into the supplied Eden amp and it had a bit-crusher and high pitched wine coming through it! Arrrgh, some very quick fault finding, checked my bass, cables, wireless, amp....all OK. Last thing was the Anagram....starting to panic a bit as I use some some significant effects on certain songs......rebooted it......fingers crossed.....all OK and worked for the remainder of the evening. No idea why this happened and glad it was such an easy fix.👍😁
Also I've been struggling to get one of my Anagram home made presets to Export from the Darkglass Suite (back-up) to my PC. I'd named it "Comp/Lim/HPF" on the Anagram with no issues, Darkglass Suite would load it and only when I tried to Export it I had a problem. It appears that using "/" in a name won't allow you to Export it. I changed the preset name to "Comp-Lim-HPF" and all worked fine.
Just been onto the Public Presets hub and seen my preset for Hysteria is the most downloaded at the moment......a whopping 18 times!!! 🤣🤣-

I'm very happy to be able to start a feedback thread for Roy @Roy Muir who's just bought my Overwater Progress III Deluxe. He drove from Edinburgh to Aberdeen (240 mile round journey!) played the bass, had a cuppa and a chat and then bought it 👍 Easy deal, nice guy and pleasure to do business. Hope you enjoy the bass 👍

Maybe Andertons have been following the "Ruin a Band or musician's name by replacing a single letter" thread on here?
Don't Fodera make a Victor Woolen bass? 🤣

For sale is my Headrush Gigboard in great condition. It has the latest firmware updates etc and comes with the original power supply. Fully functional and dead easy to use / configure etc. I have a number of my own bass presets stored and I removed the factory (mainly guitar) presets to reduce the need for scrolling etc. I can easily reload the original presets if the new owner would like.....it takes about 2 mins, its that straight forward. Plenty of online videos, help and guidance to review as well.
Its really easy to set up and edit using the touch screen to drag & drop effects and IR's together instantly. The interface is super easy to use. There are plenty of amps, cabs, IRs, microphone, and effects options to get the tones you're looking for. You can use your own impulse responses as well as backing up your presets to your PC. The four switches can be configured to switch between rigs, switch on effects, scenes or whatever you prefer. It has a looper too and can be used as audio interface for recording with reamping from the clean signal.
Heres a few links:
Headrush Effects & Controls List
I've added some documents for info eg: manual, effects list, preset equivalents - Gigboard-User-Guide-v2_1_2.pdfHeadRush Amps, Cabs, Mics and Effects.pdfHeadrush Models @2019.pdfHeadrush Preset Equivalents.pdf
Comes boxed with power supply. As Aberdeen is a long way from most of civilisation, I'll ship to mainland UK at cost using Parcelforce / Royal Mail.

I think excessive volume is a common problem for many jams (and gigs). For a number of years I used to be in the house band for the local blues jam. I kept saying the volume is causing people leave. People would be sat with their fingers in their ears and then leave, it was that obvious. We had a really good sound guy who would (as requested) mic everything up......and then mute it at the desk as the stage volume was so high he couldnt do anything with it! He had a superb Nexo / Allen & Heath system at his fingertips that he could only use as a vocal PA
I eventually tired of it and passed the batton to others.
Stood in for the new house bass player at the jam tonight. Same old, same old......the organiser (audio engineer) came outside to chat mentioned that he'd asked the current band to turn down as it was at 110db.......my request to the band would have been "turn down or f**k off"! For some strange reason people were leaving the pub

I'm trying to get an idea on its sound? Hi-Fi or?
The answer is....Yes! I had a Puma 900 for a number of years and only sold it to fund another amp itch I wanted to scratch. I agree with @Twigman I would happily buy an Eich 900 and do any gig with it. The "Taste" knob is the key to go from hifi to vintage vibes just with one control. I really liked it. Great tones, small & light format, never came close to running out of steam with it. 👍

I've had a number of "rack-iterations" over the years. Changed to the currently popular "small amp on top of my cab" for a few years then have migrated back to rack gear. Currently running 2 racks - one's my Demeter and the other is Glockenklang Steamhammer which I've added pics below. I've managed to find a few photos of a few of my rack set-ups of old.

Just thought of another bass I had a hankering for once over. Mike Lull Brian Beller BBM5. About 10 years ago I saw 3 for sale within a 6 month period and then nothing. They usually came in red quilt finish but Bass Direct had one in pink. On my only visit there I tried it and really liked it. I remeber thinking "I'll sleep on my decision to buy and then get back to BD as no-ones going to buy it in the next 2 days are they?"
You can guess the rest....I think someone off here bought it 🤔

Not a gig review as such, but a quick addendum to my using the QSC in a pub last week and it being completely overwhelming, I had a sit down yesterday to actually work with the thing (yeah, I've had it a year, I really should've done this before) and found it was set to No Sub i.e. it was boosting all the bass, and no HPF set, which would explain the sound. Ten minutes with the manual and some EQ curves that an enthusiastic geek in the States had recorded from the various presets, and with the preset and HPF set appropriately it's now sounding much more like a traditional backline amp. Phew.
After many years of working with engineering / techy stuff / comuters / phones / music gear etc. I formulated a reminder for myself for when stuff isnt working as it should......"If all else fails.....read the manual!
" lol 🤣🤣

Status Chris Wolstenholme original graphite neck version. Can't remember the last time I saw one on here for sale.
Would this be what you're thinking of. Our very own @woodyratm I think 🤔 Now where did I put that piggy bank / kids inheritance? 🤣

....and even rarer is a JD Calibas. I've only ever seen 1 in the flesh, which I owned, and one 6 stringer advertised in the last 30+ years.

Just sold my MidiMoose pedal to Pete, Great deal, good comms and fast payment. Many thanks.

Just bought Dunc's Presonus mixer. Great deal, well packed (he must have shares in bubble wrap!🤣). Great comms and kept me up to date when Parcelforce decided to introduce a detour. 👍 Much appreciated and would easily deal with again. Thank you.

I like the idea of IEM and am trying to work out a system that works for me with any / all of the bands I play with. This is a little problematic as I both play bass and sing so I need at least those 2 feeds into my IEM. All of the bands I play in only have basic mixing capabilities with max 2 aux outputs so there is a real compromise on what mixes can go to IEM / monitors. Some band members don't want to go IEM or are not able to budget for it so we still need floor monitors.
Buying decent IEM like you did and upgrading the mix desk (a new desk for each band!) to allow multiple different aux mixes for each band member is the way to go but can be quite expensive. This assumes that the PA you're using isn't vocal only, can handle the lower frequencies and doesn't need upgrading as well. Most bands I know run their own sound from the stage. Not the best way I know but when you are limited by venue space / location / budget the luxury of having a dedicated sound person is usually the first thing to get ditched. Whoever is running the FOH and monitor mix really needs the time and support from the rest of the band by having technical rehearsal(s) where they can learn to run the equipment, get good FOH settings and work on each persons IEM mix. This also lets people get used to the new setup rather than drop it straight on a gig. 😱 In my experience technical rehearsals seldom happen and I've been trying to get one for the last 3 years in 1 band. Musical rehearsals are more frequent but you just need to read through some of the posts on here where a lot of bands only do this if they have to.
If someone's invested money and built up an amp / cab combination over the years and are happy with the results then changing to IEM is quite a leap both technically, functionaly and financially, especially if you're only doing 20 gig's a year at the "Dog n Duck" 😁 Hauling gear is much easier now with lightweight cabs etc. but don't forget that removing amps and cabs from the backline only moves the weight to the addition of extra amps / subs etc at FOH. I wish someone would design a "pop-up PA" 🤔 🤣 As far as ringing ears thats something easily averted by playing at reasonable levels and wearing protection such as ACS.

Ah, ok I get it 👍 I was thinking 3 options for the coils. Keen to see how the series configuration works out.
