1. Thanks for the replies everyone, all very helpful. I ended up doing as Paul suggested as a quick fix and it worked perfectly. I'm getting buzzing from the P pickup as expected, but I can live with it - it sounds so much better now. Thanks again!

3. Cool, I'll try that - did you get any buzz when soloing the P pickup?
4. Hi all, I recently aqcuired a 70s Precision which has (I think) a DiMarzio Ultra Jazz fitted at the bridge. Each pickup sounds fine individually, but having them both on full makes the E and A strings sound out of phase. D&G both sound as expected, so I'm assuming one half of the P pickup is out of phase with the J pickup. I've currently got it wired VVT. One weird thing is the out of phase effect is strongest when I have the Jazz on full and the P at about 95% - still only on the E&A with the D&G unaffected. I've got another P with an added J pickup that doesn't have these issues - any ideas? Cheers
5. Great chap to deal with - very patient and helpful, and the bass was perfectly packed for shipping. Buy with confidence!

7. Martin Acoustic bass SP mediums. They're still sealed, though the box is a little damaged. I sold my acoustic and forgot I still had these! After a tenner posted. Cheers! NOW SOLD
8. 1m OBBM jack-to-jack speaker cable, in good condition and perfectly functional. Only selling because my current cabs use speakons! I'm after a tenner posted. Cheers!
9. I bought Theo's MIJ P Bass - great guy to deal with, and very up-front about the bass' quirks. Great chap to chat to as well! Cheers again!
10.
I love that blue....
Thanks - it's Sonic Blue, looks great in the flesh. The previous owner had it refinished in nitro just before selling it to me, I love it. How does the P pickup sound so close to the bridge on your Rascal bitsa? I've got an old Hondo which has a P pickup in the Stingray position, it sounds huge!
11. Here's mine - 1988 MIJ Fender jazz body and a 2004 US neck. Most of the hardware and electronics are from my parts bin, but it plays brilliantly! Lowest action of any bass I've had before.
12. Bump! Loads of new pictures and I'll post in the UK for £20.
13. Forgot all about this - bump! The one without holes for the chrome covers is still available.
14.
£1200 is a great price for a new bass, but if you are prepared to hold out you can get one for approx £700 second hand. There is one on here/eBay/Facebook/gumtree in surf green I think in Southampton.
Sure is, it's mine! They're really great basses, and to be honest I'm on the verge of keeping mine if it doesn't sell before I move. It's an older one with the 'classic' Fender body shape and Delano pickups (which I agree are more hi-fi than old-school). I've found the P/MM set up sounds something like a ballsy P/J. I'm guessing the one you played was one of the newer body shapes? I'd love to have a go on one.
15. Price drop to £700, and now also listed on eBay (would rather sell through BC to be honest).
16.
I keep coming back and looking at this............................
Go oooooon I've had lots of interest on this and more than a few trade offers (some of which got taken pretty far but unfortunately ended up falling through). I've actually spotted something on here I'd love to take a punt on, but this has to sell first... someone help me out!
17. Great bass Crispin - hoping my Sandberg gets bought so I can snap this up!
18. Bump - trying to work out postage options, so let me know if you're interested!
