1. **NOW SOLD** Up for sale is my Harley Benton BigTone in Vintage Orange - specs can be found here: https://www.thomann....gtone_349018_1. It's essentially a Gretsch copy, but quite a nice one. Sounds and looks brilliant, with the orange being quite subtle in person. The rosewood fingerboard is especially nice. The only real con with this one is it's in dire need of a set-up - I'll see if I can get round to doing it before it sells, but no promises! Condition is great, with only a very slight scratch to the back (pictured). I'm asking £100 ono. I'll consider a trade for a small bass head (ideally a GK MB200 with cash your way), but cash is king as always. I don't have a case, so given it's a semi hollow I'm not looking to ship. I'm based in Southampton, but can drive to meet within reason. 2. NOW SOLD. Up for sale is a Harley Benton acoustic bass. I picked it up a few years ago, mostly as a toy but it's actually been good fun to have around. Specs can be found here: https://www.thomann....akustikbass.htm - it features a built-in pickup system with a tuner and 4-band EQ. I've mostly used it as something to take along to parties and meet-ups at friends' houses, as well as just being something to have knocking around the house in case I fancy a quick play. As such, it's not in the best condition. There's a slight crack where the headstock joins the neck - not sure how that got there, but it's never moved since I noticed it 3-odd years ago. It also has some scratches on the back from being in the boot of my car quite frequently! Still though, it plays great and looks good from the front! To sweeten the deal I'm also including some Martin acoustic bass strings I have. I'm asking £30. Given its value and size I'm not going to offer shipping on it, but will deliver within reason - I'm based in Southampton. 3. Bump, now that I've put some thought into trade options!
4. ****PRICE DROP**** Now £700+£20 POSTAGE! NOW SOLD Up for sale is my Sandberg VM4. It's a really cool bass - Delano MM and reversed-P pickups, Glockenklang preamp with active-passive push-pull on the volume pot, tinted neck and good old German craftsmanship. There's a control to blend the pickups, so it's capable of quite a range of sounds. Everything on it works perfectly, and it's in good condition for its age. Nothing much to report on the front, except the 'Delano' lettering on the pickups has worn away. There are a couple of scuffs and scratches on the back - I've tried to take pictures of them. Bathroom scale method suggests it's 4.3kg, but it feels lighter to me. I'm after [s]£750ono[/s] £700 collected, or £720 posted. I'm mostly selling this because I'm moving house, and the cash/space would be useful. I've spotted something I'd love to take a punt on in the for sale section here, so I'm really after cash. However, if you've got something to trade let me know, worst I can say is no! Ultimately I'd need a decent amount of money my way though, moving's really expensive. I've finally figured out postage! I don't have a hard case for it, but it'll come in a padded gigbag (which I forgot I had) and packed securely in a cardboard box. Also happy to take the neck off for easier shipping if you're happy to re-attach upon receiving it. I'm based in Southampton, but can travel to meet. And now for the good stuff - as it turns out, surf green is a pretty hard colour to photograph. However, the pictures on the cardboard box and carpet are very true to life: Cheers! P.S. Just noticed my cat's in the pictures... he's not included I'm afraid.

Refinished 1988 MIJ Fender JB62 body with a 2004 US neck, finished off with random bits I had in my spares box. A bit pieced-together but I love it!
6. Having a parts clearout and found a couple of black 3-ply Jazz scratchplates. [s]One follows the late-70s template (holes for the thumb rest above the strings, holes for the chrome cover, and a central screwhole):[/s] SOLD The other has a 'made in Japan' sticker on the back, and follows the same template minus the thumb rest holes and holes for the chrome cover: Both have a little bit of wear through use, but nothing major. Asking for a tenner each, posted. Cheers!
7. ***NOW SOLD*** Hi there, I've been fiddling around with my bitsa and have ended up with a spare body. It's a solid ash Jazz body from a Harley Benton JB-75 - looks like a 4-piece build. Thomann lists the wood as American Ash. I've modified the pocket to take a standard Fender neck; I had a US Jazz neck in there up until about a month ago and it sat there very happily indeed! It's had a few extra holes drilled into it for ashtrays and a thumb rest above the strings, but it's in great shape overall - I've taken a picture of the one noticeable ding, which is on the back near the neck plate. I've tested this with an official Fender scratchplate, BBOT bridge and neckplate, all of which fit well. I haven't tested it with a control plate, but the one that came off it is now on a MIJ Jazz so I'd assume a Fender one would fit too. It looked really sharp as part of my bitsa (bonus picture included - ignore the uke), and if I had the parts I'd probably build another one out of it! I'm asking for £40, plus a tenner if you want it posted. I'm based near Southampton if you'd prefer to collect. 10. I've got it listed a little cheaper here - to be honest I'd rather sell through BC! Now at £475 collected / £500 posted!
11. Ashdown now sold, and offering postage on the Hartke!
12.
I'd want it rear routing, I'm not a fan of the 'floating' jazz control plate?
I really like it I'm a sucker for a little chrome.
I'd send an email over to Jon Shuker to get a quote. I've got one of his basses and the work is exceptional, and the prices are very good, so much so that I'm planning on getting him to build a fretless neck. He'll also be able to do whatever sort of routing you want, so you'll be able to get their perfect body. http://www.shukerguitars.co.uk
Great shout, thanks - I'll email him today. The prices on the site look more in my range.
13. I've got a plan to upgrade my Jazz bitsa, and I'm after a sonic blue body. I don't want to have a scratchplate on it, so ideally it'd have the neck pickup properly routed and no screw holes on it. Warmoth offer exactly what I want: The trouble is, with shipping and customs it comes to about £400! Does anybody know of anywhere else I should be looking, likely in the UK/EU? I tried Northwest Guitars, but unfortunately they don't do custom colours...
