1. Super guy to deal with and very friendly, Hope you enjoy the cabs and annoy the soundman with them
2. Preston,I've seen his ad on Prestone.
3. Great Bass player and 2 of my favourite bands but I don't think I'd pay that much.
4. Hi Oli ,a Vigier Excess sounds very close to a Ric even Roger Glover plays one to get his clank back, If your over my way you can have a go on mine and they have a superb neck as all Vigiers have. There's one for sale here too nice colour IMO- http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=110594451633
5. Bump for update and Cabs still available.
6. I've got some additional pictures type bump- I checked over the cabs tonight and they are in very good condition overall and the amp is in excellent condition.
7. Tc RS210 & RS 212 for sale, In the original finish in good condition they come with the TC covers and speakon leads. Looking for £300 each for these. I'm about 20 miles North of Manchester in Chorley,Lancs and get around a bit at weekends. Not looking for any trades but if you have a good condition Mesa 400+ or a Orange AD200B I might be interested with cash adjustment.
8. Elderly's had one (SB1) for about £400 inc shipping & taxes I was very tempted with that and it looked like Keith Christopher's sunburst one from the band Homemade Sin.
9. Thats a stunning finish,I remember this from the original sale and was very tempted back then.Bump anyway.
10. The 400+ is fixed bias so you have to be careful which valves you put in so they are within tolerances with the fixed bias so I doubt you tec would have biased the amp, also after 4 weeks the caps might have discharged all their stored electric so when you turn your amp on it draws too much current first which produced heat & stress on the amp and can lead to problems, be worth seeking help Asap.
11. Bought John SB-2 off him and its a superb bass at a great price, John kept me informed all along and as all his feedback says he's a great guy to deal with. Thanks again.
12. Not had this long but seem to have no time to do any Songwriting/Recording at the moment and play my Telecaster most of the time anyway, Its in goodish condition just a few tiny marks on it and is in full working condition. It comes with the DI/Power supply pedal, manual,Lead and gig bag, The colour is Starsky & Hutch- Red/White, plays pretty well and has just been restrung. I'm 20 miles North of Manchester and would prefer Pickup but at a push would post for £20, Not looking for any trades really except a TC RS210 Cab or a YAMAHA MG166CX (one with the compressors + FX) and could put some money into the deal. 13.
Valve amp Specialist; Preston, Lancs. Just had my Hiwatt 200 in to an Amp Tech that I had recommended by a local music shop. It had a constant loud background hum that I had been told online could be down to an imminent cap failure or power tube problems. I left it with the new (to me) tech who looked over it very quickly, checked it couldn't be my beloved GEC KT88s, not the caps & eventually tracked it down to a bad ground. What I was dreading could have been a slightly expensive cap job, or a disastrous re-valve was fixed & covered by his standard fee for an investigation. I'm sure there are some who would have said they did more, replaced unnnecessary part etc & charged accordingly. Very courteous, very prompt, knowledgable (builds his own amps too) and for me one reassurance was seeing the use of cabs & guitars to check with too & not just a multi-meter. He's also very accesible with a nearby motorway link within 5 mins of his premises. No hesitation in recommending DPE Services in Preston Lancashire. Tel 01772 715097. Email [email protected]
Just had my Trace Elliot V6 repaired by David, He's very courteous and repaired it very quickly. His rates are very resonable too, I'll be using him again.

16. Not me but a real sound guy from our emails,Always a great pity when people sell up but I said I would link it on here- http://shop.ebay.co.uk/gripper22000/m.html...p;_trksid=p4340 The Orange is set with no reserve..
17. Like Groundhog Day This- Bought my Ric off me he's a really top man and it was a pleasure to meet him, everyone should listen to his band they play some great stuff reminds me of 'Wilco' quite a lot. Anyway He's Bought another Ric off me and he's still a top man and I'll probably see him again when I buy another Ric and sell it to him
18. Lovely colour this just like my old one, I once got in to trouble on the old Dudepit by saying there was no difference between the US SB2 and the original Korean one.I've sent a PM. My long gone US v's Korean SB'2
19. My first good bass was a white one like above, really great necks and a joy to play, sold it for £199 years back wish I still had mine.
20. Interesting, My second bass was a Ultra P and I always thought the hardware/PU was top class as was the overall sound I just presumed they did a J type too.
21. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ovation-bass-guitar-...ents_Guitars_CV Early '80 Korean made(?)/US Assembled could be a good buy on its own never mind with the amps.
22. Jeez that was cheap ,there was a Marleaux that went yesterday for £450 and that was a £1800+ bass when new, Not good for selling at the 'mo.
23. Love the look and sound of this- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-New-2010-Godin...=item4aa35344ae http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMfKWxH7xlQ&hd=1 Always rated the guitars but never really the basses but this just ticks all the boxes for me and as most Godin stuff a good price too.
24. Amazing, it'll go for £1150 + now
25. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/rickenbacker-bass-gu...=item45f462754b Can't imagine this being around long
