1.
I will probably regret selling it one day too.
YOU WILL! YOU WILL! OH, WHAT MADNESS IS THIS?!?! If I had a couple of grand spare I'd have been on a plane as soon as you posted this and would probably be banging on your door right about now! Someone in the UK should buy and keep it until I've got enough cash to buy it!
2. OH HELP ME JEBUS! I think this used to be mine. I sold it to a guy called Thom (who owns the 1st Jaydee bass made, but that's another story). I only found out about the Mark King pickups much, much later. I could have charged much more if I'd have known! It was black when I got it, but it looks much nicer now. This was 'THE' bass that I regretted selling. I'm still kicking myself (in the head) over it now. I vowed never to sell another bass, and so far I haven't. Have a free bump for a beautiful bass and good luck with the sale.
3. I've got one of these too, a green harlequin one, it makes you go dizzy when you look at it. They're fantastic instruments. Good luck with the sale. If I didn't have one already I would have done something stupid to my credit card.
4. I've got one of these and I can attest that they are very nice instruments. Not only can you do the slidey "MWAH", but with the slap plates you can do the spankey "PUH-TWANG!" Bargain price too. Good luck with the sale.
5. These basses are fantastic. Bargain price too. I've got a Goodfellow Classic, but if I didn't I'd risk divorce and snap it up. Good luck with the sale.
6. I've got one of these and they are fantastic instruments, you wouldn't be disappointed. Somebody please buy this before I mortgage my kidneys or something. Good luck with the sale.
7.
What's the groove above the neck pickup for?
It's the "Funk Groove" - for easier access to get your finger under the string for snaping/poping whatever you wanna call it.
8. Other. Status Series II circa 1984. I love this bass so much I'd mow Rob Greens lawn if he asked me to.
9. Hi everyone - I'm new here. I've just realised that I haven't been through anywhere near as many basses as the rest of you. Anyhoo here's the few that I've owned (I still have the receipts for some of these - how anally retentive). Hohner PJ Bass Guitar S/N:8816157 White. Purchased new on the 3rd December 1988 for £139.00. My first bass. Good acoustic tone but bloody awful plugged in. Action you could limbo-dance under. Jaydee Supernatural Mark King Signature S/N:71085 Cherry red. Purchased second hand on the 11th December 1996 for £750.00. A Beautiful instrument, low action, fast neck but a bit too treble-y for my liking. Jaydee Supernatural Series I S/N:80469 Black. Purchased second hand on the 19th November 1997 for £995.00. This is the one bass I wish I'd never sold. I'm still kicking myself over this. Totally stunning, beautiful tone, nice low action, fast neck. The only thing I didn't like about this bass was the colour. Status Series II S/N:198. Cherry red. I can't remember exactly when I bought this but I paid £750 for it second hand. I remember trying it out in the guy's house and slapping the E string once and then saying "Here's the money, I'm taking the bass, I'm off!" It has a few scars (it is about 23 years old after all) but I love it. Fantastic tone, incredibly low action, ultra-fast neck. I still have this bass and would never part with it. Jaydee Supernatural Roadie S/N:01050 Cherry red. Purchased second hand on the 5th August 2007 for £450.00. Totally stunning, beautiful tone, nice low action, fast neck. It's a Jaydee so what do you expect? I've learned my lesson with the Series I and I'm never going to part with this instrument.
