1. Yip - this has always been my philosophy too. I think the pandemic has eaten away at my confidence. Onwards!
2. Yes. It's so that, especially when there's limited space on stage, I can swop between the 3 instruments more quickly
3. No I managed to source a fretted version in Germany around 5 years ago. I love them Odd is good 😁thanks for the reply. I have started to practise without the stand and will probably master it in due course but yes I thought I would be considered at the very least eccentric and at the worst just plain unacceptable. However, before I go anywhere near an orchestra I have about 2 years practicing to get under my belt 🤨
4. I have been using a double bass stand with the Hounds of Love band I play with (a 12 piece playing Kate Bush songs). It's essential due to the constant changing between fretted and fretless bass guitars and double bass. My question is, if I were to play with an amateur classical orchestra, would it be acceptable to use the stand (a Hercules model)? I played in my college (RSAMD) orchestra back in the 70s and used to perch on a stool to play but I have got so used to the stand now that my playing suffers when I try any other method. Answers on a postcard please.
5. I have a Rocktron B200 which I never got on with and am thinking of selling on. Its a beast -solidly built but I confess the interface confuses me after using my Zoom B1Xon for about 5 years now. I saw a couple of models in Japan on the Bay going for in excess of £250 (see screenshot). If you are interested please message me for a more sensible price.
6. Hi - my 62 precision bridge is suffering from stripped hex screws/barrels. The saddles are 18mm wide (see pic) Are yours also 18mm and can you tell me what age and model of bass they came off please?
7. I bought this a couple of years ago intending to add it to my pedal board. However, I decided to move to a multi effects unit and the pedal has therefore never been used (at all). It is boxed with the leaflet it came with. It's in immaculate condition and is looking for someone who will actually use it. I can add photos later when I get home. Good saving on what they are going for brand new. I may consider swapping for a non tone print reverb.

9. Nord came to my rescue very quickly when I advertised that I wanted an EBS Octabass pedal. The transaction was really smooth. A fair price was agreed and the pedal arrived safely and well packaged. It looks all shiny (well matt actually) and new and I have no reason to believe that it won't make lovely octavey sounds when I crank it up tonight. Highly recommended chatter. Thanks Nord

11. I don't suppose that by some long shot you still have the HOF Mini for sale?
12.
I've got a joyo pxl8 In the for sale section that does exactly this. Under 100 nuggets too
I can't find it GisserD
13. Andy bought a Zoom B3 from me this week. It was an effortless, smooth transaction. Andy is a basschatter extraordinaire.
14. That looks much more affordable Pete - thanks Of course this will mean having to buy all the individual pedals I sold (and a load of new ones too) to build a new board... hmmmm...
15. ouch... 2nd mortgage time it seems
16. I have often wondered, if I had a pedal board full of pedals, (and I had not converted to using a Zoom B1Xon multi-effects unit) whether there is a way to select 'banks' of pedals with a switching unit (and avoid that pedal dance that we all do - you put your right foot in... right foot out... right foot in and you shake it all about...). EG press one of say 5 foot-switches and get a particular combination of pedals; switch other foot-switches and get different combinations. Surely... SURELY?????
17. I'm selling my Zoom B3 - boxed with manuals, software and psu. ++++++++NOW SOLD++++++++ I bought it recently from Steve (Musashimonkey) of this forum but I have decided that my Zoom B1Xon is better suited to my needs (and my abject laziness). The B3 is in excellent condition and I will let it go for what I paid (£95 including postage)
18. Nice tip Oops - thanks
19. I had thought about this issue before buying the B3. My B1Xon has always got a dbx compressor and also a noise limiter on pretty much every patch I use. My intended solution for the B3 is to use an external compressor so that frees up a pedal space on each patch. Not perfect but my Hotone compressor is Ditto Looper sized so no transportation problems.
