1. I won't be able to tell you the weight until the weekend as its at a friends house at the moment. What I can say is that it never felt particularly heavy. Never had shoulder or backache after using it. And it is superbly balanced. Everything you would expect from a bass of this class
2. Fender Roscoe Beck 5-string bass. Metallic Teal Green with matching headstock. Superb condition. Amazing variety of tones for a passive bass. Selling because it's just not being used anymore. Comes with a hard case. Would prefer pick up or meet. Based in Lincoln
3. EBS UniChorus. Not being used so it's gotta go. Good nick. Great sounds. £60
4. Bump with a price drop. Maybe I overpriced this. Now looking for £500 o.n.o. Surely it's got to be worth it
5. Yamaha trb1006 6 string bass. Natural quilted maple top and matching headstock. Master volume, pickup blend and 3 band EQ. In good condition. Has two small dings. One on the front between the bridge and controls and one on the top edge of the body. It plays great with a full range of tones available. It just has one too many strings for me. Comes with a slightly battered hiscox case. Really need to sell this so I am open to sensible offers but no trades please
6. been playing in a queen tribute band for about 8 years now. great understated bass lines that make you think about what your playing. 'don't stop me now' is really quite complicated but never takes over the song the thing with JD is that he did'nt like rock music; he was into soul and disco so it made for interesting 'cross currents' in their songs imo also don't think he worries about the money; he was the financial wizard in the band even after 8 years i still enjoy playing his work

8.
You're going to have to interpret the word "pony" for me
'pony and trap' rhyming slang; cop blimey guvnor
9.
+1 To all of the above. I did try to get a Lincoln bass forum going a while back via the Lincoln bands site. Turned out to be me and a guy called Steve from Saxilby
unfortunately i find the lincoln bands website a bit 'pony' to be honest so that's maybe why no interest
10. hello there charlie welcome to the forum pretty cool place here i also live in lincoln. there does seem to be a few of us. a yellerbelly bash would be great
11.
Also, with warp factor six, you could copy the song from your CD onto your computer, then download a piece of music editing software called Audacity, which allows you to slow down a piece of music without affecting the pitch.
i'll try that not heard of it before thanks
12. i appear to have put this in the wrong place. sorry could it be moved to the correct one please? thanks i have actually got the album but the intro of warp factor 6 has got me beat any suggestions other than mime to it would be great
13. hi there the drummer in our band is doing a drum clinic thing and has asked me to accompany him on some tunes. he wants 'warp factor 6' by SFX and 'party in simon's pants' by 'luke'. no pressure then i've found some footage of party on you tube but ican't find any sfx anywhere. any help with tab or demos for either would be gratefully accepted. thanks
14. saw nearly dan on friday. quite a good turnout considering the weather. not gonna do a critique but really enjoyed it. great performance, really laid back. just brilliant. if you get the chance, make the effort and see this band. well worth the 2 hour drive
15. got super slinky's on all my basses. every now and then i try some thing else but always go back to EB,s. never had a problem with life length but i do like them when they get about 3 weeks old. i'm not a fan of the jingly jangly sound of brand new strings.
16. just recieved olp 5 string from bentdyce. great deal. great person to deal with once again many thanks
17.
The Mixers not a Mixwizard is it? Cheers Si
i'm led to believe it is a mixwiz cheers
18. Our band is upgrading the p.a. system so the following is up for sale; Martin F2 2 X 15" Bins Martin RS802 1 X 12" + 1 X 1" Horn. These have been upgraded to PD 12" drivers + BNC horns. They are old and scuffed but they sound stupendous. Also included are 2 alto amps ( 750watts per ch. @ 4ohms ). always been racked so in good nick. With a standard x-over, we think a reasonable price is £2000. However, with a BSS x-over ( £995 brand new ) the price would be £2500. Thrown in ( not literally ) is an Allen+ Heath 16 ch mixer. It needs a bit of TLC due to me spilling a drink in it. There is also quite a bit of outboard stuff. the good bits are; Klarke Technic 2 x 31 graphic ( the best apparently ) TL Audio 5050 vocal compressor Plus other stuff like reverbs, gates, more graphics and compressors. I don't know the full list so ring for details. To repeat, the price of the p.a. is pretty reasonable, and i can guarantee the outboard stuff will be very reasonable. Its all gotta go so don't be shy Either pm or call 07889 205637 / 07949 531871 Cheers Steve
