Cheers[/quote] you have some in the bow area and some in the action when adjusting bow it will relieve some in the action section the strings seem to be lighter so that the neck isnt so bowed etc

put it in the actual place its going and photograph it the notches look about right and the neck widens a bit nearer to me maybe not..

set the pitch of all the strings correctly check the settings of the neck and then saddles then intonation adjust as necessary its a strange thing for so much to go at the same time but the suggestion of differing tensions for similar strings from different manufacturers may be the reason but i have never had a string change in that smallness of difference that really affected anything except a bit of bow best of luck geof

at first your mind is on the music...later you want to look better your on the right track..play it!

i set mine lowish..until all the strings dont sizzle when plucked open flattish bow and standard action usually achieves this i like softish feel to my fretting so use TI rounds or lowish tension sets from others if i want volume i dont batter the strings...fingerstyle i just turn up the vol i set my vol about 3/4 on the bass to give a measure of increment when necessary re: my action is at the octave around 1/8"..
