1.
New, I think Eden Nemesis cabs are VERY good, light (for their size) and capable of taking fair wattages. You'd get more for your money going used, in which case there's all sorts available. Budget?
Cheers. Don't really want to spend more that £500 - I'm definitely happy to buy used. The head only cost me £160 second hand!
2. Hi guys, I'm making the long overdue step up from a combo. I've bought a Warwick X-treme 5.1 head and haven't a clue what cab(s) to put it through. I use a couple of Fender Jazzes and play rock with a bit of funk in small / medium pubs and clubs. All help will be really appreciated. Cheers
3.
I got a promotional mailshot from SoundsLive the other day publicising their new web site. Included were a number of discount vouchers including 10% off Orange amps. Not being one to ignore a bargain I placed an order for a 500-watt Terror Bass which instead of the listed £412.39 brought the price down to £371.15 + carriage. A good saving and certainly the best price I've seen. They are due in stock within 2 weeks so now I have to wait, and wait, and wait. It'll be interesting to see what they go up to when VAT rises again.
Hi Is there a promo code on the mailshot? I've just been on the website and these are up for £449. Cheers Andy
4. Bought a Jazz 24 from Graham last week. The bass was in great condition, no problems whatsoever. Posted really quickly and seemed like an all round top man.
5. Thanks for the advice guys. I did go out shopping on Sunday but picked the wrong day cos everyone and their basses were at Music Live at the NEC! I played a Schecter Custom 4 though and absolutely loved it, the neck felt beautiful. Anyone got any thoughts on these?
6. Hiya, I'm new on here. I've had a trusty old Yam RBX760A for years but it's time to upgrade (I'm keeping the Yam as a backup). I want something with really versatile tone. Some of the stuff I play is hard rock, some punky and some funky! Got £300 - £500 to spend, don't mind getting new or used. I've always wanted Fender but I want 24 frets. Anyone know if the Jazz Bass 24's any good? I also really fancy a Warwick $$ but dunno if I'd get one for that price. Maybe a Corvette? I'm going out tomorrow to play as many as I can so any others I should be looking at?
