1. Maybe, I'll have to see if I can find a box for it. Where abouts are you based?

3. If you're looking for a combo I can highly recommend the G&K MB212 combo. Here's some chat about on here - http://basschat.co.uk/topic/210401-gallien-krueger-mb212-ii-500w-combo
4.
Did you do any mods to yours Valhalalf? Thinking of doing any?
I've been thinking about modding it, maybe swapping out the pickups/pre-amp or fitting a new bridge, since I've had it. I've not done anything though, probably because i'm happy with it as it is. I had the 4 string version originally that I fitted EMG pups to. Nice sound but again, not sure it really needed it. If you're happy with how it sounds/plays/looks leave it as is.
5. I am a huge fan of the Squire VM range and have owned and gigged a natural jazz V for over three years now. Never had any issues with it and plays beautifully. In that time I've owned several other basses which I gig with for a while, but for some reason I just keep going back to the Squier. I had an impulse buy and picked one of the FSR 4 string models up the other month.
6. Great amp this one. If Hartke ever did a lightweight portable combo using this amp I'd be all over it. I replaced the original pre amp valve with a JJ ECC803s which gave it a lot more headroom for a cleaner tone. If anyone is looking for a straight up, no nonsense loud amp with warm tones grab this one.
7. Sorry, been away from the forums for a while. I've still got the combo and have been gigging it solidly every weekend for neary 6 months now. It's a great bit of kit, nice and solid and fits perfectly in my focus estate boot with everything else. I can also nearly do my car trip in one go as it's so light. Really happy with the tones I get from it and the portability, setup time etc makes me and my back very happy. The only issues I have had, and this is with digital power amps and neo speakers in general, is sometimes it does lack a bit of weight behind the sound projection. However, stick it in a corner of a pub for example to create a bass corner and you're fine. Also, if you have the ability to do so, D.I. it through the PA. So far though I have not had to D.I. yet just to be heard in the mix, and that includes playing outdoors, a huge hall at Cambridge University and a marquee inside an army gymnasium at the weekend. Also, my guitarist is very loud and it it'll happily go head to head with him. Most of the time I usually only need both the preamp and the master to 12 o'clock for a good gig volume. At some point I might think about buying the powered extension cab to kick it up to 1000 Watts, but not because I need the extra power. I think the combination of price, portability, flexibility and sound is just perfect and I've not even been thinking about another amp. If you were thinking about downsizing to a lighter or smaller setup I would seriously recommend trying one of these out. I'm sure there are better, more expensive alternatives, and if you can afford them great. But I'm very happy wth my little amp. Also, if anyone does decide to get a 2x12 combo and wants a Roqsolid cover for it, ask them to make sure it uses the customer submitted measurements. The stock one was too big so I gave them the proper dimensions to make mine and in black with black piping it's the perfect compliment to my 'Stealth Cube'. And if anyone has any questions please gimme a shout Alfie
8. Ooo nice Let us know what it's like when you get it
9. I've been thinking about one of these so your post got my searching for similiar threads and issues. There is a lot of people unhappy with the same problem of the pedal not being a true bypass but loving the pedal sound itself and looking for a mod. This ended up throwing up this link for a pressure sensitve true bypass pedal plate http://www.glab.com....pass_wah-pad_en Which it appears you can get from Thomann http://www.thomann.d...ass_wah_pad.htm And this guy does a good job of demonstrating Very interesting, especially as you could mod the 105Q to ditch the spring and be on all the time and let the plate control when it's engaged.
10. Awesome playing and what a tasty looking bass. I have been looking at Bass Mods since I first found out they did the original K6 a couple of years ago and have been so tempted by the newer K7. I'm a guitarist of over 20 years and a bassist of 3 years so was thinking of getting a seven and tunning it like a guitar with a low B. I know, I know! Blasphemy! Heretic! I hear you cry lol But the idea of retaining all the chord and scale shapes I've spent years learning on the guitar and applying them to the bass and keeping a low B too just sounds like a great idea to me. And I could re learn them for proper 6/7 string tunning, but honestly I'm a bit lazy I just wish I lived close enough to see how that fat neck feels, god my GAS for one of these has gotten much worse.
11. Sold Mike my Samson C-Control and C-Qu8 Headphone amp. Top bloke to deal with, great coms and super fast sending payment. Enjoy buddy!
12. Beyerdynamic DT770 are great headphones for studio use, tracking, critical listening etc however I would strongly advise looking for semi open headphones like the Beyerdynamic DT880 to mix on. http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec03/articles/mixingheadphones.htm http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jan07/articles/mixingheadphones.htm
13. Doing a lot of mixing and mastering at both home and work I have spent countless hours reading up on headphones to find a pair that will give me the best uncoloured 'flat' response and a nice detailed stereo sound stage, within my budget of course. For critical listening I use a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250ohm closed headphones. Nice frequency response and detail, great for picking out issues pre mixing/mastering. For the actual mixing and mastering I use a pair of Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro 250ohm semi open headphones. These for me had the best flat frequency response of the headphones within my budget and a lovely stereo soundstage. The semi open design allows for a nice airy sound, to the point where it doe's feel like you're almost listening to speakers in the room. Definitely recommened semi open/open headphones for mixing and mastering. http://www.headphone...amic-dt-880.php If you click on the frequency chart you can compare up to 4 different pairs of headphones , this was very useful when selecting the Beyers.
