1. Sold Chris my 5 string Peavey last month. Top bloke and really easy to deal with. I hope his good lady was understanding about the new member to his bass collection
2. Dear lord I want this! Can I trade you any of my vital organs plus cash?
3. Evening Since downsizing my rig to just my ABM RC head I now have a 4U Warwick rockcase surplus to requirements. It's in really good condition except for some cosmetic marks and scrapes, mostly to the top. The frame, corners, latches, handle, feet etc are all in top nick and 100% working. I don't have the key for the locks but I'm pretty sure it's the same key you get with all these types of locks on cases. SOLD Cheers
4. Sold Pete my rack tuner tonight. Really nice guy and dead easy to deal with. It was nice having a chat over the deal =)
5. To shave a little weight from my current ABM rack set up I'm stripping it back to just the head and a 2U case. As such I now have a redundant Samon PB10 power conditioner to sell. I bought this unit brand new back in September and it is in flawless mint condition. The Samson POWERBRITE PB10 is a 19 inch rackmount power conditioner that makes the perfect addition to any rack case. The PB 10 is loaded with 9 IEC outlets (8 rear and 1 front panel). The PB10 features a 10-amp circuit breaker, surge protection, peak voltage clamping and RFI/EMI filtering to provide clean, uninterrupted power. The front panel houses 2 LED lamps with dimmer control for rack illumination. The Powerbrite PB 10 also has a gooseneck lamp included for lighting the rear of your rack case. The PB10 comes boxed with manual, 4 male to female euro leads (3 unused & 1 cut to a shorter size) and the USB goose neck light. *SOLD* Cheers
6.
Well it appears the weight thing has been the deciding factor for me - and I don't mean how heavy it isn't! A few posts previously the comment was made that the sound doesn't have the 'weight' behind it, something I'd been trying to put my finger on. On Friday evening I gigged it at a local pub, on top of my Barefaced Compact. Yes it was loud enough, but something wasn't there that I'm used to with my ABM (and my Klystron which I have recently moved on). However it was lovely to not have the weight of the ABM - I turned up with cab, bass and a laptop bag loaded with amp, pedal and all my cables. Nice. After much consideration, I decided the MiBass is going back and I will continue with the ABM (and also a Terror Bass I've recently acquired). There's just something very special about the ABM that I can't let it go - it has weight on both counts, one positive and one negative, which must cancel each other out lol. Cheers Geoff
As we've discussed in this thread Geoff I too sent my MiBass back. Gigging last night with my ABM it just felt right and I could 'feel' every note. I'm now at peace with the weight for weight philosophy.
7. Bought this Kingman off Gafbass last November but the project I bought it for never got off the ground so selling it on. Real shame as the neck plays just like my jazz bass and it sounds brilliant acoustic and plugged in. Still in mint condition although there is a slight tarnish to the pickguard just under the neck (can see in the picture below). I have no idea what caused it but wanted to highlight it. Comes with Rockbag gig bag *SOLD* Original thread: http://basschat.co.u...-acoustic-sold/ Cheers
8. Sold and bought a few things on here now and wanted to get my feedback thread going. Hopefully the peeps on here I've done deals with will kindly kick this thing off
9. Thanks for all the feedback guys, really appreciated. I think I'll keep an eye on our fellow american bass classifieds and see if any turn up secondhand. Had a look today and just missed out on a bass mods K6 for $600

13. I am so envious of her raw natural talent. She has the skills, chops and note choice of someone twice her age.
14.
You seen the Steve Bailey Signature? Was a little expenisive though!
Yeah it's nice although like you say a little expensive and not a classic design with the scratchplate and jack socket.
15. I don't know why Fender don't make a standard 6 string Jazz
16. You're welcome Geoff I think we're definitely on the same page here, I think the word I've been looking for is 'organic'. I forgot to say I found when setting the input level it was really sensitive and when clipping produced a really nasty distorted clipping. My ABM is a lot smoother and tends to give a more overdrive sound when clipping. I'm really interested in trying some other Class D amp heads, especially the GenzBenz Streamliner with it's triple valve preamp. Till then I'm gonna stick with my ABM. Out of curiosity what model are you using? Cheers Alf
