1. Have just sold a lovely Zon bass to Madis. He happened to be visiting London which made the deal much easier. We met up in a very crowded Victoria station and concluded a very smooth and gentlemanly deal, both happy bunnies! Communication with Madis was first class. Excellent Basschatter to deal with.
2. The Zon has gone to Estonia, you missed it chaps!
3. Final chance folks!
4.
There was a thread a while back started by somebody waiting for a Hyperbass that took a lot longer than the time quoted. I always found Zon to be particularly bad at answering emails. To be fair it's pretty much a one man operation but it's still not good customer service.
I wrote / mailed Zon a month ago to date my Zon for sale on here. I received an e mail reply less than 24 hours later with the month of birth and official facing wood description. So they are still there!
5. Seem to have lost the pictures on Drpbox?
6. Don't you just love coincidences!! Thanks. Thinking about a fretless. Graham
7. Has anyone tried this bass and have any opinions on it?
8. Well, I must say I'm surprised that this hasn't gone at this price. Might just keep it. Final bump.
9. Good luck with the sale Francesco!
10. Thanks chaps, this really does need to be played to be appreciated.
11. If I can shift my Zon Legacy Elite 5, I'll bite your hand off.
12. Bump for some new higher res pics, just to tempt you. The switch near the control knobs controls the side of neck lights. The Schaller machine heads are all new.
13. Hi, yes the separate mini switch operates the lights. I'll have to get back to you regarding the weight, but it's never been an issue, unlike a couple of my other basses. Not sure what you mean regarding neck relief, it's not a published dimension in the Zon catalogue. You'll have to let me know exactly what measurement you're after and I'll try to get it for you. All personal e mails answered by the way, and still for sale. Graham
14. Well, I'd rather sell so don't want to swap at this early stage. I don't have anything in mind that I need (I know need shouldn't really come into it), but if there was something slightly out of the ordinary - must be a fiver - try me. By the way, I mailed Zon regarding the s/no and year and got a reply in less than 24 hours! How about that for service? It's from September 1990 Goncalo Alves top Cheers Graham
15. Cheers Fionn.
16. Sorry to say that it is time to move this beauty on, far too good a bass for me to thrash around on! I think it is from 1990, the serial number is 2590593, so correct me if I am wrong. For that age this bass is in an excellent condition, no serious dents and just the usual swirls from regular use. The wood finish is stunning, so much so that I was advised by the previous owner that it appeared on the Zon stand at the NAMM show. I also have a brochure from the period which shows this actual bass. The brochure comes with the bass. It is per the Zon catalogue:- 34" scale, phenolic finger board, Polyfusion ZP-2 active pre amp and specially designed Bartolini dual coil pick ups. Width at nut is 1 and 7/8 and there are 24 frets. That's the technical stuff. There has been a modification, at what stage I don't know, but it has been fitted with kneck side lights which I think are supplied by a second battery. The job would convince me that it had been added from new, and work perfectly. Great range of tones with a fantastic sound, and great quality B string. It comes in a usable Hiscox case (one clip is a little floppy but works fine). I will include delivery in the UK for this price, but will not ship out of the UK. Meet up within a reasonable distance is preferred, or you can come to sunny Bournemouth to try the bass. Paypal fees will be extra - sorry! Any thing else, please ask. I'm sure Michael Manring will have a clip on You Tube, as I'm afraid I haven't. Cheers, Graham
17. Now sold, not on this site I'm surprised to say. Thanks for looking.
18. Hi Jassbass, Yes still available, waiting for a discerning owner. Graham
19. Another bump, because I can't find it any more on here!!! 😂
20. One last bump before withdrawing.
21. Sold, in one of the smoothest deals ever!
22. Martin bought my much loved G&L L5500, and what a smooth deal. Turned up at my door with cash in hand, what more could you ask for? Knows his birds too! The perfect buyer, thanks again Martin.
23. This is selling tomorrow, will confirm when completed.
24. Sorry to see this one go. I had both this and the current L2500 model at one time and preferred to keep this one and sold the newer one. It is loaded with EMG pickups which sound completely different to the G&L pickups, deeper bass and more hi fi. The neck is chunky, small hands might struggle. It's from the late 1990's and I had it refinished black, which is an OK job, but there are swirls and one or two very minor dents as one would expect from a bass which is around fifteen years old. There were only around 500 of these made, I believe. Very comfortable on the shoulder. I always think it feels like a 35" scale, but it is certainly 34". It has a 9volt active pre amp and the controls are volume, pickup pan and bass/treble stacked. Nice maple fingerboard. G&L hard case included, has one chrome domed foot missing. Any questions please ask. Collect from Bournemouth area, or carriage and Paypal fees extra.
