If Wenge and Ash was a listed company, you’d be a major shareholder:)

That pickguard is just right! It's looking splendid
Thank you, very kind of you. It is a little on the “artisan” side still, so will try to give it a more refined look, even if just for my own peace of mind.

Looks blooming amazing! I do see 2 potential challenges, the fretless tone Tony alludes to and the potential for string tension to slowly push the saddle messing up intonation. Both easily sorted (break angle and grub screw) so worth giving it a shot as is.
Very well done,

I have decided to deviate on the bass from original plan. I will be installing 2 Thunderbucker 66 pickups (in PJ locations) I currently have in my Bogart instead of the PJ pickups. The PJ pickups (together with a new pickguard) and Noll 3 band pre I have lying around will then be put in the Bogart.

I really like the woods on this build, they just look right. Excellent build too, proper job!

I have it on my board as well, great bit of kit with a good OD and very decent compressor built in.

Just a little update…. Turns out I do not like the Fishman Fluence setup. There is a built in limiter that to my ears is not very musical. So I reverted back to EMG DCs and a BQC.
I can honestly say that it is the best playing and sounding 5 I have ever built…. Chuffed to bits.- 1

I'm hoping the fret nearest the bridge doesn't cause the end of the fretboard to split.
It won’t, never an issue. When going close to the end on a build I cut the end slot to 0.6mm to ensure and file the tangs to ensure the fret does not apply much pressure. Glue holds it in place…. Hey presto!
Done this multiple times successfully so no concerns there.

I am building a guitar from scratch as we speak, but given my location (Netherlands) I fear it wouldn’t work post Brexit. @Manton Customs perhaps?

It is a good thing your logo isn’t a millipede, that would take ages

I have humble expectations, but it forces me to step up or shut up. A good thing.

Not a build diary as normal (see my other threads for those), but I have decided I want to make my build hobby into something more official...(still hobby, but at least have a proper vehicle for repairs, custom builds, upgrades). so building a website and “small” business .... watch this space over the next few months.

Future Impact vs C4 Synth

Indeed @Quatschmacher is best placed to respond, but I can unequivocally state that the FI is superior to the C4 for me in all areas that matter.
