1. So I did buy this yesterday and saw the above post this morning - a case of if it's too good to be true, it probably is! After talking with Neil, the bass has been returned to the shop and should be with it's rightful owner soon. Hopefully the idiot who nicked it will be caught too. On the plus side, the bass was absolutely stunning and Neil is getting a wonderful bit of kit.
2. Hi guys, Saw an awesome looking Fender precision in paisley pink today (not to everyone's taste I'm sure but I thought it looked wicked!); a quick google brought up some for sale pages that suggested it was a '54 reissue. Obviously without pics/serial number this might not be at all useful but anyone know much about these basses? It was strikingly similar to this...http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 I had a quick noodle and thought it was superb, but thought I'd sleep on it and get some views from you basschatters before taking the plunge. I'm assuming that £200 is a good deal for one of these, should it indeed be one of the reissues..?
3.
I have a white one Nice to play, great neck, initially awkward shape but you get used to it. You can get more bass for you money, but can you beat it for looks?
That is pretty. Really, really, really pretty. I'm a big fan of the all black Aerodyne.
4. In all fairness to both Interparcel and UPS, all the staff I spoke to were very helpful and polite, and the guy collecting the bass apologised personally. I can't fault them for their customer service, only their timings!
5.
Thankfully mine was just collected.
As was mine at 4pm! Buyer was very understanding of the situation which was a good thing!
6. Paid half before and half after, seems fairer that way to both - luckily it's not a huge amount of bass
7. This will serve next to no purpose but for me to vent some frustration! So last week someone kindly agreed to buy a bass off me from Preloved, which was great! I agreed to arrange a courier to them thinking it would be an easy thing to do, they'd come round and pick it up and that would be the end of it. On Wednesday I booked through Interparcel (who divvy it out to another company) a collection between 12 and 5:30pm on Friday, packaged the bass up all nice and snug and safe and left it at that. Friday comes. No courier arrives. Thing is that as I'd waited until 5:30 I couldn't ring Interparcel's customer services as they shut at 5 on Friday for the entire weekend. Luckily they had told me that UPS would be picking up the bass, so I rang them up and after about 2 hours they rang back apologising, but were willing to arrange a collection today (Monday) between 9 and 1. Not brilliant, but fine. I rang Interparcel back this morning to keep them in the loop and they were fine with it. You can probably see where this is heading though. It's nearly 2pm and they haven't turned up. Unbelievable. Just about to ring Interparcel AGAIN and have a massive moan at them; I've got a fair few things I'd rather be doing than sitting in waiting for a van to turn up! Worst part is that I'm afraid the buyer will think I'm trying to scam him out of some cash - being the lovely chap he is, he's already sent me half the money! This happened to anyone else? Anything in particular I should be moaning about to them?
8. So after a lovely set of emails from what I reckon is a scammer trying to buy this (not from this site, I hasten to add!), thought this needed a bumpity-bump. [email protected] is the offending party should anyone be interested. Seemed pretty dodgy.
9. If-you-bought-this-you'd-look-like-a-badass-bump.
10. No-longer-a-feeler-now-up-for-sale-bump!
11. Hi all, I'm selling my Epi Tbird 4, the standard one in vintage sunburst (like this http://www.gak.co.uk...derbird-iv/1922), though it's a lot darker than the one in the picture there. Selling because I bought a wonderful Fender and just don't play it anymore! It's in great nick, sounds wonderful and plays well. The top strap button kept popping out so has been packed in and won't come out anymore. Comes with a hard case too! Don't say I don't treat you well I'm at uni in Plymouth and the bass is back home so I can't take pictures for about a week and a half when it'll be back up here. The only picture I have is from a camera phone but gives you an idea. For some reason I am incapable of posting an image straight up but here's a link anyway! More to come when it's with me. I'm looking for around £150 for the bass and the case. Preferably collected from Plymouth but I might consider couriering it if you're happy to split the cost of that.
12.
Sorry --Already got 4 P-Basses!
Fair enough! Best of luck with the sell.
13. Aahhh that's beautiful! Wanted one of these for ages. Should you ever decide you'd trade for a P-bass give me a shout...
14. 60th Anniversary Fender MIM! Love it, love it, love it.
15. That's an awesome bass there, congrats!
16. Awesome, cheers for that. If it's still available at the end of September (read: when the student loan comes in...) then I may well be interested! If not then that's cool. Best of luck with a sale!
17. Could it be posted or is it collection only?

Morning!

Hi there, I've actually posted some stuff (and even bought a new bass off here! Shocking, eh?) already but should probably take a second to say hello... I've been playing for a couple of years, currently a student in the South West (let's not give too much away, right...) trying to balance a couple of bands with the workload. One of them's a pretty standard rock band, the other's a more laid back funk band - both are great fun which is what it's all about - along with the chicks, obviously. I've got a MIM 60th anniversary Fender P bass which I am in love with and am not ashamed to admit. I've also got an Epiphone T-bird and an old Shine 4 stringer which was my first bass. Into all sorts of music. Indie, rock, jazz, funk...the list goes on and on. So yeah, that's my rather lacklustre introduction. Hello!
19. Bought a Fender Precision off Andy and it arrived within two working days (well, one and a quarter really...). Great chap, very quick and easy sale. Bass was packaged very well, took a while to extract it! Recommended to anyone.
20. Oooh, I'd like to see some pics of this
21. My first bass was a Shine 4 stringer; actually a rather good bass! The guy who had it before me had it set up properly and I must say I like it very very much. Bargain, too.
