  1. Kiesel (Carvin) VB5 Headless Short Scale 5-string Bass Guitar E-C Hand built in USA 2017 Deep Black Cherry Flame Top on Lightweight Chambered body 5 piece maple through neck, short scale Tuned E to C (but can be strung B to G) I had this made by Kiesel a couple of years ago and is currently in new mint condition. It has never left the house, never been gigged, rehearsed, etc. I love this thing but it really needs to go to someone who will appreciate it and use it more. I could also do with the money, not least for tax reasons Specs Deep Black Cherry Flame Chambered Walnut Body Clear Gloss Finish 5-Piece Maple Neck with Tung Oil Finish on Back 30 Inch Short Scale Length Ebony Fingerboard Diamond Mother of Pearl Inlays Side Dots on neck Medium-Jumbo stainless steel Frets .048" H .103" W 14in Fretboard Radius Hipshot Bridge with .75" (19mm) string space Kiesel locking nut system (accepts standard strings) Kiesel Radium KRH radius top alnico humbucker pickup in the neck and bridge Passive electronics, master volume, pickup blend, tone control Black Pickups and Hardware Currently with Flat Wound Med Light Strings Drop Shadow Logo White on Black Strung High Low E to high C (but can be changed to B to G) Dunlop Straplocks Weight 7.5lbs Black Kiesel Soft Bass Case For a demo see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=23&v=BlHOizbf0OM For further details see here: https://www.kieselguitars.com/catalog/guitars/vb5
  2. Just bought a Rob Allen Mouse from Grant. Everything went smoothly from first contact to delivery and bass was in excellent condition as described. Highly recommended seller.
  3. Can I take it, looking at the Rob Allen website, that the bass has position markers on the side of the neck. Also can you say something about age and condition?
  4. From Farnham, Surrey. Near Guildford and Farnborough
  5. This bass is in pretty new condition. It’s never been gigged. It really has been a spare, but I've never had the occasion to use it. Any apparent nicks, blemishes, etc on the pictures are just highlights/dust etc. The bass is in mint as-new condition. The bass had been fitted with a new set of flat-wound strings (worth about £40.00). These Warwicks are of exceptional quality. They are light in weight with a comfortable and smooth playing position. It has passive "Dynamic Correction" MEC J/J pickups and passive electronics producing the typical Warwick low-end growl along with a clear treble. These generally go for well over £600.00 new, so this is a great bargain in as-new condition. See an example here: https://www.abtmusic.eu/product/warwick-rockbass-corvette-basic-4-string-bass-short-natural-satin/ Specifications: Body: Alder Finish: Natural Satin Bridge: Warwick 2-Piece Bridge Construction: Bolt-On Neck: Maple Neck With Ekanga Veneer Stripes Scale Length: 30” (Short Scale) Frets: 24 Extra High Jumbo Nickel silver Number Of Frets: 24 Fingerboard Radius: 20" Fret Height: 1.3mm Fret Width: 2.9mm Fretboard: rosewood Nut: Just-A-Nut III Pickups: Passive MEC "Dynamic Correction" J/J Pickups Electronics: Passive Electronics Controls: 1 x Volume, 1 x Balance, 1 x Tone Neck, 1 x Tone Bridge Machine Heads: Warwick Hardware: Chrome I can ship it for around £30.00 insured or you can of course pick it up from Farnham, Surrey.
  6. Thanks for that, Count. Consider also that it's at a bargain price and I'll consider offers.
  7. Bump for this virtually-new easy-to-play beautifully-made great-sounding good-value Warwick fiver (.... ran out of hyphens)
  8. Yes they do. And here is a review (see the Warwick Corvette medium 5 string section): https://www.bassplayer.com/gear/roundup-short-scale-basses

    discreet

Discreet bought my Fender Rumble 500 after I kept it for a few days for him. Slight confusion with payment method at first. But all's well that ends well! Nice guy. Would do business with him again.
  10. In Farnham, Surrey.
  11. Hi Dyerseve, Thanks for the input. You're right of course. I had difficulty finding a black 5-string medium passive on sale right now. So I've modified it and added a passive. Cheers
  12. Dyerseve, here's what the spec says: "2 passive MEC j-style pickups, passive electronics, 1 tone control neck pickup, 1 tone control bridge pickup, 1 balance control, 1 volume control" I'll add this to the description.
  13. The combo is about 18 months old and has been gigged about a dozen times. It’s still in excellent condition and comes with a padded fitted cover. It’s rated at 500Watts, but with the combo only it gives out 300W. You need an extension cab to get the full 500. The 300W have been plenty loud for my purposes. At 16.5 Kilos it is also incredibly light for the output is gives. £340.00 for combo and cover, but needs to be collected. It’s a bit too heavy for reliable shipping/packing from my point of view. Cheapest Internet price seems to be over £500.00. The cover itself cost £45.00 new from Hot Covers. Here is the website: https://www.hotcovers.co.uk/fender-rumble-500-v3-combo-cover See a review of the combo here: http://www.theguitarmagazine.com/gear/amplifiers/fender-rumble-500-combo-review/ Specification: Power: 500 W Loudspeaker: 2 x 10" Eminence ceramic magnet speaker with 4 ohm Compression tweeter with on/off switch 1 x Channel with switchable bright switch Contour, vintage switch and overdrive Controls: Gain, bright on/off, contour on/off, vintage on/off, drive, overdrive on/off, level, bass, low mid, high mid and treble 6.3 mm jack input Headphone connector Mini jack stereo AUX input Line out XLR with Ground Lift Effects loop send and return External speaker output minimum 8 Ohm Ivory soft touch radio potentiometer knobs Dimensions (H x W x D): 58.4 x 48.2 x 35.5 cm Weight: 16.56 kg Design: Black vinyl cover with silver front grille For more details on the spec, see the Fender site: https://shop.fender.com/en-GB/bass-amplifiers/contemporary-digital/rumble-500/product-237060.html?rl=en_US
  14. This bass is actually new. It’s never been played, gigged, or otherwise used. I bought it in a haze of GAS last year but have since been so preoccupied I never got it out to get up to speed with the 5-string thing. Now I have to clear out the herd and raise some dosh. Any apparent nicks etc are just highlights/dust etc. The bass is mint. These Chinese made Warwicks are of exceptional quality. The bass is made from an alder body and Maple neck with ekanga venner stripes making it light weight, and allowing for a more comfortable and smooth play. It has 2 passive "Dynamic Correction" MEC J/J pickups and passive electronics producing the typical Warwick low end growl along with a clear treble. There is 1 tone control neck pickup, 1 tone control bridge pickup, 1 balance control, 1 volume control This is pretty much the ideal shorter scale 5 string, the 32” giving the B-string plenty punch than would be possible with 30”, and about the same as a standard 34”. It generally goes new for over £700.00. Here is an advert for an passive version in black. https://www.abtmusic.eu/product/warwick-rockbass-corvette-5-string-bass-medium-black-high-polish/ Specifications: · Body: Alder · Finish: Black High Polish · Bridge: Warwick 2-Piece Bridge · Construction: Bolt-On · Neck: Maple Neck With Ekanga Veneer Stripes · Fingerboard: Rosewood, Radius: 26" · Scale Length: 32” (Medium Scale) · Frets: 24 Extra High Jumbo Nickelsilver · Number Of Frets: 24 · Fret Height: 1.3mm · Fret Width: 2.9mm
