1. That particular bass? NO. See my review on the Thomann site. No QC at all and no QC sticker on the back that the newer made basses have. I sent it back yesterday. Frets sticking out from the fretboard here and there, backplate loose since the brackets that hold the screws were loose. one of the potentiometers loose etc. The sound is great, many options to tweak the sound with just one pup. Thomann are sending me a replacement bass.
2. Here is my review from Thomann regarding Tobias Growler 5 lefty: I've had the bass for two weeks and am terribly disappointed with the manufacturer's quality control. The cover that protects the batteries and electronics is falling off. It is attached with 3 screws that are screwed into their brackets. Two of the screw brackets have come loose (the holes are too big) so the entire cover is loose. The dual tone control for the rear coil is very loose and rocks back and forth. I don't use the tone controls so I don't understand why it is loose? The frets stick out from the fretboard in many places. The sound and playability are completely OK sound clip inserted. Gibson is blundering here. The price in relation to the quality is out of proportion. PS! I sent this bass back yesterday. There where no QC sticker on the back either. A new one is on the way. 4. Outsold gig last Saturday
5. Many knobs and switches, loud and clear. Had a rehearsal yesterday and used my Darklass 212. The rest of the band in the Bose Pa not me. Singer said have you always played that way, and one of the guitar players said I should turn down. That is a god sign. My apple watch complained over the rehearsal volume, slightly over 100 db most of the time. I use to have my Mesa TT 800 with this band. Fx and comp work great, cab resonance also. A bit lower volume when using the drive section. You can probaly tweak it with the Boss Tone Lab or just turn on the master a bit. So far so good. Hmm…the Mute button only mute the cabinet, not the direct out. Even if you turn down the master volume you still have sound in the PA when using direct out. Strange?
6. I will try the Darkglass 212 before I decide what way to go. A lot cheaper than the 212 Ampeg and 1000w
7. Just got this mail from Gear for music regarding my order: Good Afternoon I am contacting you regarding your recent order. The confirmation email advised that the delivery would be between 28/03 and 29/03/2023. However, Fender have advised us that they currently don't have any stock of this product and the delivery estimate is now early September 2023 at the earliest
8. Yepp, you are spot on. Made in 2016
9. My current bass setup
10. Or NEO 4x10 their best cab IMHO
11.
Can this thing do super hifi clean too? (Obviously bypassing all the overdrive stuff)
Not EBS hifi clean. I have a Reidmar 750 and a Streamliner 600, both have the treble/bright at 10/12 Khz as the M900 have the treble break at 5Khz. So if you have the typical EBS glitter string sound in mind I have to say...not really.
12. Got my M900 from Andertons monday. Tested at home at almost gig volume with my Unicorn 2104 cab 1000W with Faital speakers. Clear and loud with many sound options and a touch breakup with the VMT/BK3. Eager to test drive at tonights rehearsal with my 4 ohm EBS cabs, 410 Neoline and 210 Proline.
13. I had the 360 for two months. EBS redesigned the preamp in 360 towards rock/metal and took away the glorious shimmering highs that you find in the 350 and Reidmar.
