This is the original Schroeder 12+L model which is, I feel, nicer than the newer one (only just introduced). Basically it's a 16" cube (17" with the original Schroeder soft cover - as in the photos - which is good to have in transit). 12" neo driver with integrated tweeter (adjustable / defeatable at the rear), 1/4" + Speakon in/out, 4-ohm / 400w, 25 lbs, includes the original Schroeder Cover. As (Brand) new - home use only (!).

Super Flat responds accurately to a wide sound frequency, from the low-ends to the highs of the bass input, and you get a clean, clear tone that retains the natural sound quality of your bass. Its internal DSP is carefully tuned to avoid excessive colouration of the sound. It’s a great way to get the natural tone of upright basses with pickups. Onboard DSP Effects Once you’ve chosen the amp model of choice, route it through the Cube-100 Bass’s stellar digital effects, including EFX (Chorus/Flanger/T-Wah) and independent Delay/Reverb. Optional footswitches can be connected for controlling effects on/off. £ .. SOLD ..

Hi Linus - that's also very interesting: good to know that ther's another (more?) out there! .. although disappointing to learn about the neck! Could you add (or send/PM) some photos ? Re. the neck: is it beyond redemption? I guess you've searched for a possible replacement, but that it's tricky with a soewhat (seemingly) rare bass. Would a std. (either original or good copy) fender J neck fit the pocket?

Some photos and (hopefully accurate) background on the ESP 400 Series Jazz ('64) Bass..... ESP jazz bass series 400. Apparently - and please correct me if I'm wrong (!) - the 400 series was produced by ESP between 1983 and 1988 and later renamed the "Traditional Series" being the ESP variant of a ' 64 Fender Jazz bass. They were a very popular Vintage reproduction - so much so that Fender had the model banned in the USA - with demand for the instrument so high that in 2007 ESP again offered these basses in small number as 'Vintage-4' Jazz basses. Not sure how many were made (in the original or resurrected run/s) but I've not seen another. Baker Rorick (?who-dat?) Reviewed and Compared the ESP 400 series with Fender Reissues, stating... " The ESP 400 Series is the better instrument for half the Price" ... And ... " They feel, play and sound correct" (1998 in the article " "Recent Relics" - Guitar shop magazine). The instruments were hand-made at ESP, Japan. 4-String, Ash body, 4-bolt maple neck, Rosewood F/board, 20-fret, 2x ESP jazz bass Pickups, Vintage Style mechanics, very 'familiar' neck profile in the style of 60' s Fender Jazz bass. (incl.) .... reduced to .. and finally SOLD

... I'd forgotten all about that (!... which was why I mentioned possibly adding a buch of stuff to the 'bits/parts' section..) but it should still be in the attic: in the original box/packaging of the replacement, so hopefully OK. I'll check asap (both that it's there and that it's still OK) and PM you.

Just placing some photos and 'thoughts' intially: will add some further details and specs asap. ... The BQ4 is a quite special and unique instrument - particularly in the hands of Brian Bromberg for/with whom it was developed. The neck is graphite and very similar to the Modulus .. but it also has the polymer (?) finish, similar to that on the Pedulla MVP 'Buzz' basses; so it really 'sings'. There's no truss rod but it does have the micro-tilt. It works great as a 'standard' fretless with plenty of the desired 'mwwahhh' but also has the Piezo pickup which can be used independently or mixed with the Mag-p/ups. Plus the panning effect (rear adjustable, as are the piezos) which you can hear on BB's early/solo albums: it has a stereo/mono output and a series of 8 holes in the rear cover.I don't think there are many of the white/fretless models about (!). The body is of selected flame maple (unfortunately, hidden by the solid finish): 2x VFL active Humbuckers plus 4x Piezo pickups; Controls are - Master Volume, Pickup Volumes (stacked), Active Bass/Treble (stacked), Piezo Vol., Piezo Tone, Stereo/Mono switch. The Piezo Pan (+ Volumes) in the rear cavity regulate the signals sent to the left & right (stereo) outputs. Reasonable weight at <9lb. £ SOLD

The new improved Fender / Ashbory bass was launched at The Nashville Summer NAMM in July 1999 and brought back what was referred to as "the epitome of originality: the most innovative bass guitar ever created" in Guild's® 1987 literature. The 18-inch fretless scale and super lightweight body make it easy to create the growl of an upright or the punch of a standard electric bass. The patented Ashworth transducer and the silicone rubber strings are what make the Ashbory so unique, but the sound for live and recording applications is what makes it a necessity for any recording studio and a treat for any live performance. Ashbory: the Official Story (and History):- http://www.ashelec.demon.co.uk/ashbory/ Production of the ‘DeArmond’ Ashbory bass:- http://www.largesound.com/ashborytour/ Details: Condition : Superb, pretty much as new, has NOT been gigged, only home use Overall length is 31" with an 18" scale-length This is one of the Fender/Ashbory™ models. Acoustic Image Focus SA: (600W) 3.5 lbs £ SOLD !!!
eubassix posted a topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Here's some photos and a comprehensive outline from AI:- Focus SA: 600W of power in a compact, single-channel satellite amp. · Same 600W dual-voltage power amp as Focus integrated amps · Even smaller size and lower weight (3.5 lbs) · Pair with any high-quality preamp or mixer or add a second power amp section to your Focus or Clarus for greater volume and headroom. · Adds stereo capability when paired with Clarus 2R or Focus 2R · Combo jack accepts ¼-inch or XLR inputs · Input level control · Two parallel twist-lock output jacks · Comes with padded case, 6 foot power cord Design Goals "Power without corruption". This simple phrase aptly describes the Focus SA high-powered amp heads which deliver an astounding 600 watts (into 4 ohms) of power from a tiny 3.5-lb. package, without compromising the characteristically open, natural Acoustic Image sound. Focus amps are designed to meet the needs of players who require extra high volume or exceptional headroom in a highly portable package, and designed to accurately reproduce the sound of instruments without compromise. Unlike other solid state amps, Focus delivers a distinctly warm, tube-like sound which is flat across the spectrum and not voiced to favour any particular frequency. So if you use a high quality speaker, what you hear is just the sound of your instrument. The Focus SA can be paired with any high quality mixer or preamp or connected as a satellite amp to an AI Focus or Clarus (via the send output or direct out) to add even greater volume and headroom. Comes with a padded bag and speaker cable with twist-lock terminations Technical Specs System Focus SA Frequency Response 20 Hz - 20 kHz, ± 0.5 dB Distortion <0.5% full output, <0.1% typical Hum and Noise -85 dB or better AC Power 115V/60Hz, 230/50Hz, switchable Size10 X 6.5 X 3.1 inches Weight 3.5 pounds Power Amp: Class D (PWM) Switching Frequency 200 kHz Output Power >300 Watts (8ohm)>600 Watts (4ohm)>800 Watts (2ohm) Minimum Load 2 ohms InputXLR1/4" combo jack, 5k impedance Sensitivity250 mV rms for full output (instrument level) Output ConnectorsNeutrik Speakon type (pole 1) Included Accessories: Gig bag with shoulder strap (works fine, but rather worn & some tears to the corners) - can carry the amp + associated leads etc. £ SOLD !!! -
Seymour Duncan SJB-2n + 2b 'Hot' for Jazz bass: new, unused & boxed !! The usual 'bought for a project and never used'... According to Seymour Duncan website:- "...This pickup is similar in design to the Vintage, but kicks up the output with more aggressive coil windings. Compared to the Vintage, there's a heavier mid-range emphasis that makes this pickup well suited to rock tones. Includes logo cover. complete setup Calibrated neck and bridge set. Neck pickup is slightly narrower. Neck is RW/RP for hum canceling when both pickups are used together..." £ SOLD !!

Thanks Ped (again) - and BRx / Waldo - the BQ4 is quite special (particularly in the hands of Brian Bromberg for/with whom it was developed).
