  3. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166959805979?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11051.m43.l1123&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=627453cf54af42428bfa11184b27a692&bu=43160223381&osub=-1~1&crd=20240908072311&segname=11051 .... queried this as follows: .... how do you justify £150 for PF24??... even with (as stated) "... Delivery: Assured quality packaging and precautionary measures used..." ... which is what any responsible seller would provide for an instrument. and got the reply: - .... "... There were no posting options available to me for the package. To resolve this, I calculated the maximum cost of dropping it off myself anywhere in the UK...."
  4. well, it didn't last long (for whatever reason/s) : ..." This listing was ended by the seller on Mon, 26 Aug at 3:38 PM because the item is no longer available..."
  5. "...This listing was ended by the seller on Tue, 27 Aug at 12:38 PM because the item was sold..." ..... presumably not on ebay (£3100 with c. 6 hours remaining). Never got a reply re. actually seeing the bass so hope the buyer (if one exists) doesn't regret perhaps buying this directly/on-trust.
  6. Up to 4-bids / £3k with 24 hours to run. Had a reply to my now third request to view locally tomorrow morning ...... " More pics added..."
  7. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226313701590?itmmeta=01J675DTPF8HD4CFJ0WVD99406&hash=item34b15908d6:g:aKUAAOSwRtxllDjx decent example, limited edition (... rare?...), non-original case: maybe he hit the '9' twice in error (?) .. although he says "... The asking prices reflects the latest offer (open to realistic offers in excess) ...."
  8. ... possibly, but not sure he would have done this as he doesn't appear to be aware of what 'pots' are, stating there are no pots on the bass (?). Latest message(s) state that he's returning today (Sunday) but unable to 'do' anything across the Bank Holiday. As the listing ends 18.27 Tuesday I asked when it might be possible to view. 'Tuesday morning' (reply) but no location / time details that I'd requested. Have asked again.........................
  9. I've asked re. location and being able to see but no response to that Q as yet. He did add a couple of photos (only 3 originally) and stated that he'd been offered £4k ... 'if I was still interested'. One worrying reply re. dates / type of pots etc. .... " No pots on bass everything else original can t view till I return...." which seems odd if he's played (the) bass over 3 decades.
  10. seller just added photos of the F/R headstock and a clearer shot of the neck-plate & serial.
  11. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/405180240288?itmmeta=01J5TCCFK32TW0HK4QV5F660ZW&hash=item5e569fd1a0:g:8RUAAOSwVV5mxM6f ... only 3 photos and very little else. My area of the country so might ask to physically see / try it.

  14. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266816749186 ?... any body know anything about or have experience of this/these? Can't recall a evein seeing one before. Serial is E1058145 but can't find anything specific to this or any general info on MIK models
  15. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145766113576 .. still there (relisted @ £2180 / £3200 (BIN) ... the seller responded to my message re. pricing and asked for an opintion on what it's 'worth' - I suggsted marginally more perhaps than current selling price/s ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296407536035 .. sold recently for £833 (+£20 postage) ... but he remains forever hopeful, or deluded.

  19. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226062469243 ".... all original condition aside from one nut that is black one one of the tuners, you probably wouldn't have noticed if I didn't mention it. Judging by serial number stamped on the neck plate, it is from October 1988, made in Korea...." Is that (all) correct? ... the ones I've seen previously all had 'westone' (or 'W') branded neckplates & tuners, the knobs were always brass ... and not seen a bridge like this one before.... (?)
  20. Okoume (Aucoumea klaineana) Common Name(s): Okoume, gabon Scientific Name: Aucoumea klaineana Distribution: Central Africa (primarily Gabon) The grain patterns can bear a resemblance to mahogany, and one of okoume’s lesser-used commercial names is Gaboon mahogany, though it bears no relation to either .... species is not listed in the CITES Appendices ..... Sometimes simply called gabon or gaboon (not to be confused with Gaboon ebony), the wood is commercially important in the country of Gabon, where it’s the principle timber species. [ from 'The Wood DataBase' ]
