  1. Superb guys. Loving the Glam Dave
  2. WOW that's something i've never seen before. Very nice indeed. GLWTS Dave
  3. Our gig at a private party for friends had to be cancelled when 2 of the band got covid. Party went ahead and it was a good night altho the karaoke singers need to work on their vocals. I was driving so just stayed for 3 hrs and headed home again. Dave
  4. I've had them on my Marlowe DK and VM4 for a while now at least 3 mths and they still sound amazing. The brightness has dropped a little but you end up with the hi mids coming thru far better. I added a set to my P bass 2 weeks ago but yet to try that out at a gig. Was gonna be tonight at a private party with punk covers band but 2 of them have the dreaded covid so the band got cancelled. Still going to the party for a few hrs tho but i'll be driving. Dave
  5. Just the one but it shuts on Sundays and Wed afternoons. Limited stock tho.
  6. I'm really liking the DR Black Beauties. Now got them on 3 basses.
  7. Mine was white with white plate if i remember right. Dave
  8. I had a white Ric back in 80's but cant remember how it felt as i couldn't really take to it back then. More about the tone than feel of the bass. I didn,t know they had done away with the twin truss rods. I quite like a slim neck. Dave
  9. Are the newer necks better than the old ones. ? Dave
  10. Had the Lo Tension flats on my VM4 for about a year and really liked them but they didn't really suit the music i was playing. Dave
  11. Yep that is my dream Ric colour altho i'd go for a fretted one. Dave
  12. Not just as bad as that altho we had one venue the first time i played it with the band. The owner had gone home and the staff asked us how much we get paid. Unfortunately the band are regulars there and always get paid same amount and we are an honest bunch.
  13. Dumpy's used to play our local venue many years ago. I could see what you mean. LOL
  14. Probably good advice. I'll not bother then. Those guys were seriously lucky you talked me out of that. Our singer Lynn knows them all and was there from the Fri - Sun and said some already had the virus symptoms on the Fri night. We played it last year on the Fri night and she caught the virus then too but rest of us were fine. Dave
  15. Update that Lynn our other singer now has covid. That's the full band now. Dave
  16. I prefer 3:1 compression sometimes a little less but Threshold same as yours and Gain 12 o'clock too. Dave
  17. Have to say that's a good result from both Keeley and the shop. Well done to all involved. Dave
  18. Unfortunately all of the band except myself and Lynn have now got covid after the bike rally gig on Sat night. Since heard that quite a few had it from the Fri. I had it 10 days ago but all clear tests Fri & Sat morning meant it wasn't me that passed it on. Looks like our private birthday party gig this Sat night will be cancelled. Dave Have to say it was no worse than a head cold for me and no serious symptoms and what i did have lasted 1-2 days.
  19. I think that was a big part of it plus i didn't always get the US sense of humour. We definitely view things in a different way. Dave
  20. On the other hand i've spoken with some really nice guys on TB too who have been exceptionally helpful with one offering to sell me his Mesa TT800 at enough of a reduced cost that even adding import tax etc it worked out same as a new one which wasn't too bad as there was no chance of getting one for few yrs but it was too much of a risk getting it sent over and i didn't want to risk that offer of friendship with it getting lost in transit. Still a great offer when he could have sold it in US for almost new price. Met some really nice people on TB so its not all bad but with the amount of members you are bound to get the bad ones. BC is more like a big family of friends that want to help each other no matter what the issue is, good or bad. That's why i like being on BC. Dave
  21. To be fair it wasn't the mods that were the problem for me. Dave
  22. You're just making me so jealous now Daryl. Dave
  23. Love mine. Rare amps that don't come up that often. GLWTS Dave
  24. That's good news and seems like a quick response to you as well. Fingers crossed you have a replacement soon. Think its worth sticking with the Keeley as they do seem to make good gear but like everything electronic you will get a faulty unit once in a while. Yours must have been a Mon morning hangover unit. Good luck Dave
  25. Yep 100% agree. Hope all is good with the big C and you've beaten that into the ground. Dave
