  1. Had this pedal about 6 months, served it's purpose, no more drop tuning so no need for it now - it's in very good condition and shows no sign of ware. Comes with the box and power supply and price includes postage.
  2. I’m selling my Yamaha BB200. Bought it off Basschat a couple of years back, typical condition for a bass so old, I think it’s late 80s or early 90s and still plays nicely and sounds great; as always, you get a lot for a little with Yamaha. Slight crack in the headstock that has been repaired at some point, as pictured, doesn’t effect anything. Strung with Rotosound half wounds. Looking for £180.00 delivered or £170.00 collected in Middlesbrough.
  3. I’m selling this Ibanez Gio GSR205B 5 String Bass in Weathered Black. Had it a couple of years, limited home use only, still has original strings. Slight markings near the jack input, other than that pretty pristine. They’re £250.00 new, looking for £170.00 delivered or £160.00 collected in Middlesbrough.
  4. Hi McNach - I’ve turned the truss rod a quarter anti clock wise as you suggested, and also put some 50-110 strings on... heavy! The action is now very high, and I can’t even adjust the bridge saddles to go any lower really. Is this common? How can I now get the action lower? The strings are much tighter now though which is good.
  5. Thanks for posting those, really appreciated - it's a tuning that I have to use though, as the band I'm working in drop a full tone so the tuning is D, G, C, F.
  6. Thanks McNach, much appreciated, I'll give that a go - my level of technical knowledge for the time I've been playing bass is pathetic haha! Thank you for the advice.
  7. Thanks Moon Bass Alpha, very much appreciated - 55 to 110 gauge appropriate for this?
  8. Thanks Itu, all a bit on the technical side for me, and technical I ain't haha!
  9. Hi all, I'm drop tuning to D G C F for our singers voice, and I'm struggling with a few things that I hope some experienced people could help me out with. The first is that the strings feel loose and slack under my fingers, totally different to when I'm playing in standard tuning, there isn't the same resistance in the strings when I'm playing and I hate thee feeling. The second is that the fret board seems 'noisy', almost clanky like a Rickenbacker, but not in a good way! There's some fret buzz also, but I don't want to change the action if possible as I've had it that way for years and it's perfect when I'm playing in standard tuning. Can anyone advise me? Is it a different type of set up, heavier strings.... anything at all would be appreciated! Cheers
  10. They are brilliant basses for the price... now SOLD.
  11. God knows Stew. I have a buyer, if it falls through for whatever reason I'll put it on the scales and let you!
  12. Haha Andy loves a Yammy! It was sold but the guy had some unexpected costs come in so had to cancel the sale. It's just sat in my music room waiting to be bought... don't really want to sell but I'm skint.
  13. For sale is an absolutely brand spanking Yamaha BB424 in metallic red. I bought this in early December from new intending to use it on Christmas gigs but in the end it sat in the corner of my music room on a guitar stand and to be honest I really have no idea why - it's never left the house, I've plugged in and played a few times but just kept on using my P bass for gigs. I'm sure pretty much everyone who is on these forums will vouch for these as being extremely high quality basses, particularly in terms of value for money, so I won't go into any detail on how it plays etc. Bought for £280.00, it's literally not got a mark on it as you will see from the pictures, so looking for £250.00 delivered. I'll post via UPS on a tracked next day service. It's a beautiful instrument but to be honest I need the cash. Any questions let me know!
  14. Bought a nice red bb200 from Andy, does exactly what it says on the tin, good communication and packed better than Linford Christie!
  15. Hahaha sadly I didn't, I sold it as needed the cash! £750.00 was an utter bargain.
  16. Hi Andy, sorry mate not logged on for a couple of weeks - yes it sold.
  17. I'm considering selling this bad boy as I need the cash injection...It's a 2015 road worn P bass in sunburst, which I bought second hand from BC member FinnDave for £850.00 a few months back, which I've had modified as following: - P bass pick ups replaced with Di Marzio model P cream - J bass Di Marzio DP148 cream pick up added - Fender tort scratchplate taylor made, correct amount of screw holes etc - Fender plastic tug bar added - Schaller straplocks added, original strap buttons will be included in the sale. Also included in the sale will be the original anodized gold scratch plate and road worn vintage pick ups. The upgrades alone are worth about £150.00, and obviously the gold pick guard and original pick ups add to the value... all modifications made to the highest standard by Howard the Bass Doc from Newcastle who is well known on these forums I believe. the two pictures are a before and after, if anyone needs anymore I'll happily take some. Would send if I absolutely have too but would much rather have it collected, or meet half way etc, anyone is welcome to come and try this out at my house in Middlesbrough if they want to try before they buy.
  18. Agree guys, the quality for the price is incredible. These knock spots off a squire or others in that price bracket, I can't believe how cheap they go for, seriously good basses for the money!
