Just had ours cancelled, 6" of snow already, and still falling!

Have you ever wondered why it takes so long to find the bass that is right for you? Over the years, I started by buying cheaper basses but none felt or sounded right to me. So I then started buying more expensive ones, but still I was not happy with the feel or the sound. I've had Fenders such as precisions, (american hot-rodded, mexican,), jazzes, (american, japanese & squire), Warwicks, (corvette std bubinga passive & corvette std ash active), Musicman *Black Onyx" Sterling (too scared to gig it, because it is too nice), Home-made Jazz, plus numerous other basses. The only one I truly liked was my Warwick Corvette bubinga, but it weighs well over 11lb. Because of neck and shoulder problems, I have had to look for a lighter bass, and remembered an Ibanez SR500 I picked up in a shop a few years ago, I was amazed at just how light it was, but I must admit that I never bothered to try it, as I thought a bass so light, and at a budget price couldn't possibly deliver the goods. Anyway, many thousands of pounds later, I have just brought a second-hand one for £250 in absolutely mint condition, and I just can't put the thing down! It's as light as a feather, super fast neck, full range of tones, a real joy to hold and play! I really do think that this is [u]the one[/u] for me. Cheap as chips compared to what I've spent in the past, I just wish I got one sooner! I'd be interested to know whether anyone else out there has experienced the same thing.

Strange that it is just one tuner on each bass, that is causing problems.

Yes, I did remove them and put gold hardware on them (all purchased from Warwick). I've since put the original chrome back on one of the basses, but still one of the tuner seems too short to tighten correctly. I will try to get some pics soon.

It is absolutely [b]pristine![/b] not a mark on it, and is as light as a feather. It sounds good, and has the fastest neck I've ever played. The best £250 I've ever spent!

I have two Warwick Corvettes, and on both of them, the nut part that goes through the hole keeps working loose. It seems that they are not long enough to tighten properly, barely catching the thread, so as soon as you start tightening the string, it just comes loose. On one of my corvettes the tuners are chrome, and on the other one they are gold, but but both seem to have the same problem. Has anyone else experienced this with Warwick tuners, and if so, what is the remedy? I would love some advice on this. Cheers

I know looks aint everything, but have you seen the new ones? I don't think I could live with it. Unbelievably awful!!!!
