So far this year I've finished 3 pedals - two of them started from scratch this year, one just re-boxed from last year. Things is, I didn't have to buy any components for them as I already had them in my shed. I still think I'm IN, but will defer to the judgement of the BC massive.

Not my bass, but I once borrowed a 70s Ric to record with - sounded amazing through an Ampeg rig, but it was without a doubt the most uncomfortable instrument I’ve ever played - and that includes the trombone!

I've always wanted to try one of these, purely because of the agent 00 funk circuit. I bought one once and it was knackered the second I plugged it in, I was gutted as I think that's the filter to end my search 🤣
you know, jeds peds do a PCB of the Agent 00Funk and it's brilliant.

I've made a couple and often swap between this and my Meatball clone - different flavours of funk for different jobs. If you're handy with a soldering iron it's less than a day's work and significantly cheaper than buying one (if you can find one).

SWR. Sadly they're dead to everyone else too. 😪

I made one a while ago and it was really useful - selectable mid frequency was the best thing - really loud too if you want to use it as a boost!

Moby Dīck - Led zeppelin. I know it's not technically a song as it has no lyrics, yet here we are.

I tried some Rotosound Nexus on my fretless and love them - they're not very durable when played with a pick though, so that might be something to factor in. The tension is great - almost the same as my usual 45 - 105 round wounds, the tone is bright enough to not sound like flats, and the string noise is reduced, but not too much.
I suppose it's a trade-off between string noise and brightness.

Let's be honest - 0.025" is just over half of a millimetre - assuming that the string sits in the middle of the groove then it's just over a quarter of a millimetre per side.
Personally I wouldn't worry too much.

I always liked the synth sounds on the zoom ms60b - they can be had for reasonable money these days.

I do this, too. Just for reference as all my basses, bar two, are strung with flats.
Flats? I’m surprised you can remember how to change them! 😄
