1. Does anyone have any video clips of this?
2. The pick ups are the same size as my Seymour Duncan's if that helps. Enjoy it
3. Yes it is, it looks to me and sounds really good. I may update the jag pick ups for them and then get rid of the Squier P it is an Affinity but fitted with some sort of SD pickups but sounds great. Decisions Decisions
4. Have up loaded a couple of pics from my phone on new thread quickie review looks good out of box, no sharp ends arrived on time good service from GAK and Fed Ex. Sounds like the jag but more powerful only had a quick go through my little MB15 will try through something larger next rehearsal than will review properly. It is 2lbs heavier than the jag but has two frets less but so far I love it. Regards Peter
5. It arrived from Gak this morning via Fed Ex asked for a morning delivery and it was at home at 9 when I arrived after having a tooth out so that was good. Sounds to me like the Squire Jag short scale but more powerful have only has a quick check on my Marshall MB15 but it sounded to me just what I had hoped for the jag with balls. The pick ups are louder (even the jazz which is a weakness in the jazz), the bridge is more substantial the neck only has 18 freights compared to 20 but I never go that so it won't bother me Out of the box the neck seemed straight no sharp edges e string a little bright still I will get it set up and it should be good . this is the new boy and that is him with his brothers. Will review it properly after next rehearsal Regards Peter
6. Can anyone help me in uploading photos please?
7. It's arrived at first glance feels heavier than the jag, just been to the dentist so will put up photos in a little while. Looks great
8. Have ordered the white one which is due for delivery Saturday. Will be good to see how it compares to my Squire Jag short scale

GAK

Just lie to say thanks to Mick at GAK. I had a problem with my cab that I bought just before Christmas. They sent a courier (who rang to tell me what time they would call) last Thursday repaired it and sent it back by courier yesterday (Thursday) no questions asked. Thanks for great service. Pete
10. Hi I have an iPad mini and also have Garageband for iPad and Amplitude as apps. What else would I need to have to be able to record a rehearsal session? Thanks for any help. Peter
11.
Can't remember the Clash tribute band's name, but the singer was Joe Strimmer.
I think that is Punks not Dad
12. Some guys I know had a punk covers band called Sux Pastilles
13. How do you guys feel about the use of backing tapes live? I saw this guy playing in a pub last night, all the bar staff had been raving about him, telling me he was really good "live"! It was just one guy playing guitar with backing tapes including vocals. To me thats not right its not live, it had no feeling although he was a good guitarist but to me it just didn't do it! The crowd loved it though although they have probably not seen many live bands. Regards Peter
14. I've waited over 50 years to say, last night's gig was a blast! Raised over £400 for charity and I am no longer a (gig) virgin! Punk covers band got people up and moving can't be bad.. Regards Peter

First Gig

Thanks for your good wishes. It's on the 10th of March which is a Saturday so I will have all day to prepare/cack myself! Due to the short notice we are not going to be able to practice until the day but we are hoping to run through the set twice before the gig in the afternoon. Although I am hoping to meet up with one of the guitarist (other one is missing it due to holiday) to run through them before hand. I must say all the others in the band have been very kind and understanding although they have all performed loads of gigs. Background about the band they were a punk covers band bases in Staines who have done loads of gigs over the last 4 years, they sort of ground to a stop last year after one of the guitarists joined another band. The drummer and bass player already performed in other bands leaving the two front men. I had been jamming with some guys but everyone wanted something different so that stopped. As I knew the two front men after having a check in a pub myself and guitarist said we would have a go along with a former Tubeway Army drummer whose son was giving me bass lessons. So after two rehearsals we are doing a gig on the 10th of March in Feltham to raise funds for a school which helps children with special needs. Sorry for being so long

First Gig

Thanks, it's a punk covers band who have been going about 4 years n fact I have paid to see them in the past. They haven't played together in about a year and we have only had 3 rehearsals but as it's for a school for special needs children we have decided to do it. Not doing this under the old band name just going on 3rd on a 5 band bill. Set List: Blitzkreig Bop, New Rose, Babylons Burning,Pretty Vacant and Kids are United. Should be fun and the main reason to do it is I get to break my duck RegardsPeter
22. Hi I normally lurk on here most days and just read all the posts, but I'm quite excited to say that at the age of 56 I am doing my first ever gig!! It's only 5 songs amongst 5 other bands. But I am really excited about it So only problem now is how to calm my nerves I'll be hyper all day1 Regards Peter
