1. I have one of these double gig bags from Ibanez. If you need a double that is, great value too .... http://www.dv247.com/invt/50304/

  5.
As I understand, so you could lay it on its back on a hard surface without damaging the finish. A piss-poor solution to a non-existent problem.
Handy ..
  6.
That went for £160. Bidder No6 was a weird one joined today and bid six times but didn't want that badly.
Well he's got no excuse for thinking it's a real one... What was the plastic button thing for?
  7.
or pink LED's!
or Red LEDs
  8.
I would have thought 4s for the most part - but then I don't know much about Ceilidh. Might check out one of the jams in town and skulk at the back.
Ha ha Ceilidh jams? Sounds interesting or do you mean a "session"? You may be right though as Tauzero uses a Thumb and a WAV EUB, both 4's for his Ceilidh gig and I use a 5 string P and a 4 string EUB ...
  9.
No, he uses a paragraph cos he's a t0553r
The biggest to553r in the world. We occasionally play the "talk like a top gear presenter" game at home where you have to have that gap before the end of every sentence..
  10.
Love it! Coincidentally, also my favourite lookin' SG.... one day, one day. I'd have to say Jazz, based on what I'm using every day right now, but I've got a sneaking feeling a P might sound ace with the new band, so I'm keen to try one. That Sandberg PM4 in the for sale is giving me sleepless nights!
[shamless sale plug] How about my Valenti P4? [/shmeless sale plug]
  11.
Ooooh Si - I think I love you ( but now I feel obliged to say - but I wanna know for sure ) They don't make 'em like that anymore
Ooooooh Now you tell me! .. even if its the pedal steel bit at the end that I love? PS the Midge Ure Friday Night Karaoke "Stars on 45 Edit" of No Regrets should be avoided at all costs, not even a pale imitation of the Walker's one, or the original.
  12. I asked him for a serial number "can't find one" so I explained that it was certainly a fake then ... We'll see if he adds anything to the auction. So it's quite obviously a "P???? Cock!" Edit.. He has added "ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE ASKING IF IT HAS A SERIAL NUMBER--ITS PLATE AT THE BACK IS BLANK; PEOLPE ARE SAYING THAT MOST TRUE FENDERS WOULD HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER ON THEM. " Fair play .. I guess the £100 it's got up to is just £50 more than it's worth then ...
  13.
I was much better on 4 than 5 and they recommended I stick with it, and I agree.. I played 4 strings for 4 years before I switched to 5 and I just simply 'play better', I get more productive practice done, I'm technically better and I rarely even use the low notes anyway, I'm more of a middle regester guy.
Oh that's Ok then .. Thought it was a course on antediluvian bass playing where the only real bass is a 4 string ...
  14.
I've downsized to 4 strings under orders from my university tutors
Eh? What are you studying?
  15.
Pffft, Tele's are pretentious yet you choose an SG, the rock god wannabe guitar? Interesting
OT but Jesus loves an SG, specially a triple PU white one with Bigsby .. Just love that little Pete Townsend windmill move at 1:49 in the rocking solo
  16. No Regrets is one of my top tunes - brilliant arrangement and production and that rich baritone Splendid!
  17. Neck looks a tad narrow for a P bass ... and the gap between the A and D strings looks wider that the other two .. Knobs are wrong, of course, I'd like to see it with the covers off. At best I'd say thats a CIJ or MIJ 57 RI but it could be a Jim Deacon or Noname or SX with a transfer and modded headstock. Knows nothing about the Les Paul he's selling either but at least he's got a picture of the Made IN Japan neck plate on that one. PS That's a Wren isnt it?
  18.
Pardon my ignorance, but what's an Oxford comma? Somebody tell me please.
It's the comma before the "and" in a list of things. EG Fender has produced several classics down the years: the Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass, the Mustang Bass, the Paisley P, and the Stratocaster
  19.
Actually, I'm quite happy with split infinitives, as long as people know how to elegantly split them. And I've used Oxford commas for years. But Lynne Truss - pah. I got into a minor flame war in one newsgroup about the apostrophe in "three day's/days notice". I think that the apostrophe is wrong and that it should be "three days notice". The reason put forward is that it is "notice of three days", to which I reply that "eyes of blue" wouldn't be written "blue's eyes". Then someone started citing web pages at me, so I wrote a web page that said that the apostrophe was wrong and cited it back at him...
Arf Trying to define what is correct in grammer is a bit like knitting fog ... It moves faster than ever now..
  20.
My friend came up by train from Cardiff to get his guitar amp from them, shows how good they are and how bad Cardiff is.
? Compared to where? Cardiff's actually pretty good for mainstream stuff. We have 5 or 6 independent music shops selling a variety of basses and gear and a couple of used gear shops too. No Reverb though .. What are you looking to buy? That will give us some ideas of where to point you.
  21.
Damn, I'm after a early 70's Jazz neck PUP
oh just route the hole out a bit 78 set on ebay (US)
  22. Sold I got this in the 90's some time for a PJ project. It was rewound by Will Williams in Bristol. It's a Fender jazz bridge pup measuring 95x18mm by 19mm high. Resistance is 8.5k ohms .. £60 posted .....
  23. Bump for various MIJ/CIJ Precision or Jazz trade possibilities. See OP
