  1. MXR Analog Chorus, or an equally awesome but much cheaper option is the TC Electronic Afterglow. Both have righteous low end and no volume drop.
  2. Thanks Lozz. It’s a headf*ck to be honest. Puts me off seeing live bands again! In the same venue I’ve seen Iron Maiden twice - once with great sound, once with great sound minus the bass. If any band is going to have clearly heard bass it’s Maiden!
  3. In Dublin he played the purple one above for most of the set. On a few drop tuned numbers from ‘Worship Music’ he switched to a traditional Spector - the old NS shape (sorry, don’t know Spector model names). The old NS Spector was the better sounding of the two - in that I could at least hear it. The sub bass on the kick drum - and the fact Charlie B plays a million kick drum beats per song - drowned out any chance of hearing anything Bello played at all. (Grumble grumble - I just don’t get that mixing choice at all, but they’re all at it so it must be me)
  4. GenzBenz was just quality all round. I’m still loving my two Streamliners (600 and 900), my Shuttle 9.2, Shuttle 3.0 combo and Focus 4x10 cab. Happy Happy!! Joy Joy!!!!
  5. Sold some wall hangers to Andy - great communication and swift payment. Happy to do business with again.
  6. My old bass!!!! So cool. Wish I’d held on to it at that price! Good luck with the sale.
  7. That’s great to hear. I’m the market-ish. Always been tempted by the NG Dingwalls, but never had one in my hands. And I’m just a sucker for white basses!
  8. Hey Danny - how’d the Dingwall work out for you on the gig?
  9. In case anyone hasn;t posted this already - well worth the watch.
  10. I don’t know about the Sadowsky sizes, but these definitely fit in both Fender US and Japanese basses. Hope that helps.
  11. Heartily recommended - these pedals are bomb proof. I have two, both 25 years old with several thousand gigs between them. Flawless.
  12. Yes, totally passive. Extra wires so they can be wired with a series/parallel switch. Can also just be wired in a normal manner (earth/hot).
  13. Hi all - here's a Pedaltrain Backpack 2 Pouch Case for sale, barely been used. Also included is a Classic JR board (which has a fair bit of mileage on it). Separately the case is £135 new and the board is £139 new (albeit with a soft case). So that's £274 total. £160 £120 posted within UK. As for pedal board sizes - here's the blurb from Pedaltrain: This case accommodates several board sizes (Classic JR, Novo 18, PT-JR). Smaller Pedaltrain sizes in this group (Classic-JR, PT-JR) will have extra room for storage of cables, accessories, etc.

  14. Hi all - up for sale is my Eminence upright travel bass. This is the removable neck model, bought from (All Hail) Bob Gollihur back in 2001-ish. The fingerboard was worked on by a great luthier here, with the resulting action across the fingerboard being super comfortable. Comes with a few goodies - first is the Realist pickup that came as standard, plus a second pickup by AptFlex - basically a Russian version of a Realist. Second is a gig bag made for the Eminence. The bass was originally sold with padded cases for the bass when the neck and body are separated, but they're not functional for every day gigging (unless you like pulling apart LOTS of velcro) *the gigbag and the separate cases, plus the stand don't all fit in the golf cart at the same time. Minus the separate case for the body, everything fits in fine.* Third is a 'spare rib' I had made from an old defunct double bass. This gives the Eminence a more realistic feel/distance to your body when playing. Fourth is the golf club case. Still works great, though the locks were never the most confidence inspiring. I always had a luggage belt with a lock/combination wrapped around the case for peace of mind travelling. And lastly is is a tripod stand with a specially designed holder for the 'foot'. This is no case queen as the various varnish chips and dings will attest to. This bass has travelled the world a few times and always performed admirably. Two things worth noting - there is a surface crack at the bass side f-hole. This has been there since day one and not budged or grown since so never been an issue. Second is that is used to have an old Schaller magnetic pickup years ago, which has left a few screw holes at the end of the fingerboard where the pickup was attached. £1600 with courier organised by you. You're welcome to come try the bass if Rathfriland, Co.Down is anyway local to you. I make very good coffee.
  15. Here's a Krivo magnetic pickup - one of the earlier models, so doesn't have the new fangled adjustable bar for under the fingerboard. All works as should. £120 with UK postage.
  16. Maruszczyk brown leather strap - super comfy. I added an extra hole just being fussy one day, aside from that it's all good. £40 with UK postage.
  17. Hi all - four guitar wall hangers for sale - two by K&M, two by Hercules (one unused). NOW £30 with UK postage for all four.
  18. I don't know - there's no value marking on the bottom. These are the only markings on the case:
  19. Hi all - here is an old Bartolini TBIBT preamp. Bought way back in 1999, maybe 1998. I've just never been an active guy so this came out fairly quickly and has sat in a drawer since. I took a notion a while ago to try it out again but I think the blend pot is the wrong value as the both-pickups blended signal seems to drop in volume more that I think it should. So my caveat is that it's working fine if you know how to wire these things up, which I don't. £35 posted. Here's the wiring diagram: https://bartolini.net/wp-content/uploads/Docs/Electronics/Legacy/TBIBT.pdf

  22. Hi all - for sale a Reunion Blues bow case. Fits German and French bows. Has a metal spine, very sturdy and a plush velvet-y interior. Also has a strap, and fits inside the front pouch of my gig bag. (And just for nerdiness, bought from David Gage at his wonderful (old) shop in New York). I can't find these for sale anymore so not sure of a fair price. Seem to remember this was close to $200 back in 2008 when I bought it. How does £80 posted sound?
